Does anyone know if the manga is still in the works?

I really want to look forward to this, but I know it would just end in disappointment...

I remember this at AX. The panel went into some more detail about the live-action movie, particularly that they wanted to cater to the fans. Supposedly the creators for this live-action are anime fans themselves and they understand what it means to create a movie adaptation that is faithful to the source (citing Dragonball Evolution as evidence of the opposite).

So if what they say is true and the movie creators will be faithful to the source, then only good things can come from this movie.

As for plot, I'm sure it'd likely follow the game plot of revenge and orcmen, compared to the anime which widened the timeline. But that just goes to show the differences in media formats and what they can cover. Can't wait for the manga, though. That I really want to see.

Gungrave was one hell of a show . Seriously . Great stuff . Hopefully , it gets a good movie adaptation , unlike dragon ball evolution , which sucked like crap

This could well work quite well. There's a pretty big difference between the game and the anime anyway, so a similarly sized change could happen between the anime and the live action. If done right, it'll be decent, and it has far more potential than a lot of anime adaptations.

I seriously don't know how the hell gungrave can be turned into a live action film unless the producers create some half-assed plot that focuses on the last time period (the zombie arc) rather than the various eras displayed in the anime (concluding only one film will be made); or a random story that has nothing to do with the real plot, and characters that are highly different from their anime counterparts.

It would be so awesome if Quentin Tarintino does it.

Which I doubt.
