Hirano Aya Discloses Her Love Affairs: Its Aim and Outcome

According to Rakuten Woman News, Seiyu Hirano Aya appeared in a TV program and openly disclosed her love affairs on August 4th. She said she had been dating with more than one man, who are all older her and she is currently in love with a man. The TV program threw Hirano's fans into despair and numbers of comments threatening her posted in 2channel and Twitter. Hirano Aya reacted to the comments that "All the experiences support me and I don't want to play characters without knowing the real love. ... Please don't post commens like 'Go to hell!' 'I hate you!'. ... I was self-confident in my tough heart, but they do depress me."

Rakuten Woman reported that the new manager of Hirano is trying to convert her from an idol seiyu to a multi-media "Talent" personality. She had been anxious about the conversion but finally made up her mind to part from anime otaku and to appeal more to girls by the bare confession.

I honestly don't find anything wrong with wanting to live life as you see fit, and not because what others expect you to. Aya-san is receiving full support from me.

If she does leave the seiyuu business, it will, no doubt, be a tragic loss, but, nonetheless, at the very least, we should be glad that at the very least, she is pursuing her dreams.

No one should ever be denied the right to fulfill their dreams. Ever.

This is quite silly, why interfering into her personal life, i don't care who she really is in private life, i like her voice acting, point !!
I think her fans must be a little frustrated because it threatens the perception they have on the characters she played as suzumiya haruhi ( OMG she is a slut, no way she must be perfect !!! .. . Deal with it, one shouldn't mix up her parts and her real self !! ://

honestly i wouldn't be able to tell the difference. then again I'm not much of a Haruhi fan as i am a Kyon fan. Haruhi is just a tool for Kyon to play off of and continue the hilarity.

on another note, we have very similar interests.

Oh it's already happened in your mind? No one's getting replaced just because you and a few others with cool quotes in their signatures have a different view on this part of the industry. While I won't doubt that the mentioned seiyuu are great ones, it wouldn't be the same.

I nominate Nana Mizuki or Harumi Sakurai. Harumi Sakurai because of her role as Yuri in angel beats, she was practically a Haruhi clone, and Nana Mizuki for her role as Allison in Allison & Lillia. idk y but her voice in that reminded me of Hirano's (maybe just me)

I guess all her fans had this image of her being a perfect idol.
Not a virgin but definately somebody who doesn't date multiple older men at the same time.
Maybe they would have been ok if she were dating somebody they could like but with obsessive fans you never really know.

I guess she shattered that near-perfect image of hers and dissapointed most of her fanbase.

The real problem is that she wants to stop being a voice actress in order to become a "multi media talent". It seems that she doesn't respect anime if she won't even consider voice acting as one of those talents. Even hollywood film stars ocasionally do some voice acting!

I normally wouldn't care about her career choices but I'm a big fan of Haruhi and I want that anime to have an ending dammit! I was hoping that the movie's financial success would insure more adaptations but now I don't really know what to expect. I'm at a point where I would't mind if they changed the voice actress for Haruhi just to make another sequel.

Japanese Entertainment have this issue with newer talent marrying as well as well known entertaiment companies' actors dating some unknown talent, back then during the Metal Hero era, there was a huge commotion going on between Hiroshi Tsuburaya (Ultraman Creator's grandson) and Naomi Morinaga. Hiroshi's Grandpa wouldn't allow her to date him and both broke up and Hiroshi suffered from depression and alcoholism while Naomi fell into obscurity

Imagine if in Japan say Kanae Itoh or Ayane Taketatsu was dating a well known seiyuu, a lot of fans and maybe their production will be generally upset. In Japan most young talent need to give off that fact they are single or out of the closet
