Light Novel Dragon Crisis! To Be Animated

According to Super Dash Bunko, a TV anime of Kizaki Kaya's light novel "Dragon Crisis" was announced.

Synopsis:
A normal high school boy Kisaragi Ryuji's peaceful life is turned into an adventure by the return of his second cousin Eriko. Ryuji and Eriko seize a relic box from a black broker. In the box, they find a red dragon girl Rose. In order to protect Rose from the black organization, Ryuji decides to fight using his power as a relic handler.

Normal and normal. . . I don't know about that but the anime was kind of interesting but to short considering the light novel series are now 11 volumes. 12 anime episodes are just not even close to enough. . . started reading the first book in the series yesterday though but my Japanese isn't the best yet so it will take a while :D

Novels should be works which have intricate plots which would be difficult to using any other medium. Otherwise, the writer should try to write a visual novel (a video game, so completley different from a light novel) instead.

I would hazard a guess that there is a somewhat intricate plot in there, and it just also has harem, bishoujo etc.

As far as why write a harem ln instead of just doing the anime? The same argument could be made for Manga, and yet a new ecchi harem manga is born every day.

Heck, James Bond was originally a set of novels. Why write James Bond as a novel when the selling point is a devilishly attractive secret agent seducing female agents and engaging in all manner of action scenes? Because some of us don't view reading as a bad thing. Because the author is taking efforts to bypass the limits of his craft, keep us interested in women despite not having a picture displaying every frame of her walk to the grocery store.

Wow, that really does sound like every shounen ever made. Except with a harem. Oh boy...

Um, I didn't see anything about him gaining super powers. At the very least it would seem "His power as a relic handler" would seem to be a pre-existing power. And likely isn't a power so much as a level of skill in handling relics. Anyway, at the end of the day I'm a fan of shonen so I don't foresee any problems.

Surprised no-one's mentioned the Haruhi look-a-like on the scan...

Fff the word dragon in connection to the name "Rose" makes me think of American Dragon. Even though this sounds NOTHING like American Dragon otherwise. XD
Art reminds me of Hayate no Gotoku.
