@dimidrum I see where your coming from, but for me with csm i kinda see trigger esc things in it. Trigger are capable of doing a show where normal and crazy can coexists. And i will say it thoroughly, i referred to his style for csm to be trigger esq. His other works you mentioned alongside fire punch do not reflect that type of style, but with csm i think it could definably work well with triggers style but toned down in my eyes. The manga and anime have very different feels to it imo, maybe its because i watched the show then read the manga, which will influence opinions that I probably wouldn't have if I read the manga first, But idk too me it just seems that way. If the product was given to trigger, i completely think they are capable of fujimotos " rule of crazy" definition you wrote. The director for csm, and his type of directing style can definitely work for fire punch and goodbye eri easily but for csm, while i do think its a good adaptation, it was a stark difference compared to the manga, the tone and the comedy aspect of it imo

@dimidrum Finally some sense Dandadan in particular is an over the top romcom set in a bombastic supernatural setting with many different genres

@ZXEAN Yeah, sure, in his works depression strikes characters from the very beginning and sticks till the very end all the time

Apr 17, 2:25 AM by 18927

@18927 Because it's a depressing manga about depressed kids.

@3inPunisher The reason why CSM anime is getting soo much hate because currently it's become a trend to hate on popular stuffs. Initially when the anime was airing people didn't find any lead to complain but after hearing the news Blu-ray/DVD didn't sales well. People started complaining about the anime.

Tengoku Daimakyou sales less number of Blu-ray/DVD compared to CSM. Still it's anime is being praised just because it's not a popular anime. People can't complain about JJK S2 art style change because Blu-ray/DVD sales well.

Apr 17, 2:07 AM by ZXEAN

I can't stand author's style. Why author draws eyes like everyone is depressed, even kids lmao

@3inPunisher

As Fujimoto fan (as well as Trigger) and person who read all his works, talk about trigger-like style from Fujimoto always makes me think… did we read the same manga or not? Who are these fans?

Goodbye Eri perfectly illustrates Fujimoto style. Is grounded in reality, with serious undertones, and crazy shit that happens because is funny and exciting.
There is not continuous change in drawing style. Characters have realistic proportions that do not change. Setting is always something simple and ordinary like hotel, urban area, snowy wasteland… there is always a reminder of the consequences of all the madness on the everyday life of ordinary people.

Where the frick you see here Trigger? And in contrast, yes, for Dandadan this approach is perfect. You know why? ‘Cause outside of “crazy shit” dandadan & chainsaw man are not alike. Drawing style, action, characters developments, setting, narrative… are not even similar. They both stand out in their love to do something completely unexpected and crazy because is cool, but that it.

I really don’t understand how many people look at CSM and see a completely different picture. CSM is so good because of his contrasts. It is serious, it is realistic. But at the same time in the realistic like world constantly happens some unhinged shit.

Trigger is about “rule of cool”. Fujimoto is about “rule of crazy”. Where Trigger create cool world, where live cool people, which doing cool stuff. Fujimoto creates a relatively ordinary world, where happens something crazy, and somewhat ordinary but broken people try to regain their ordinary life… thereby however driving the world into even greater madness.

And because of this, adaptation was perfect.

@ZXEAN While csm anime is the best looking mappa work till date, and also unique from the rest and it is sad that some were suggesting that it should get a remake ( which is the dumbest thing haters of the show said, so many other anime fanbases will kill for what mappa did too csm) but with adaptations you want to strike not only the general fanbase but the core fanbase or the cult following of the manga. Which to many of that cult following csm wasn't really it for them, and to the general audience who didint read the manga loved it. What you said is true, but hardcore fans want the style or vibe to be in the adaptation which it really wasn't in csm tbh ( the comedy aspect being nuked lol). That's why the core fanbase of csm loved this trailer and dandadan because it's basically fujimotos style in the flesh that csm didint have. Another proof is the revenue this anime wasn't as successful as demon slayer or jjk despite the different ending songs and a beautiful op and you wonder why that is? Hardcore fanbase, those are the ones that will get you the profit alongside the general audience, and on the revenue aspect it didint deliver as high as they would've expected. If csm was adapted like dandadan and this or if trigger picked it up, the anime would've been legendary. But it got beat by fucking BOCHHI THE ROCK ( A manga that wasnt popular and came out of nowhere and also had nowhere near the amount of marketing csm had), that put into perspective what the fanbase wanted. Btw I'm not bashing your opinion at all, I'm more of giving you why people didint really appreciate it ( the hardcore fanbase and maybe even more)

tears in my eyes, this looks stunning. look back staff cooking!

Apr 16, 10:32 PM by ryoko6

@3inPunisher This is the reason it needs a remake ? There are lots of people who prefer CSM anime over manga. I understand Fujimoto's artstyle is unique but you can't ignore the fact that CSM anime is also unique and stand out from rest of the sessional anime. CSM might be MAPPA's best looking anime till date. Just because it doesn't match Fujimoto's art style we can't ignore other factors like the animation, art style, background art, music etc etc. Both the anime and manga is good in it's own way anyone who hated the manga might enjoy the anime and vice versa.

@ZXEAN i had the same opinion, i couldnt understand why people hated it or hated the adaptation as a whole despite the amount of love went into it, even added additional scenes too flesh out the charcters or plot. Then after the show ended and i went into the manga, and there was a vibe shift i felt or more like whiplash, the anime and manga are completely different adaptations, One is serious and more gritty while the other one is basically if trigger decided to make a manga. While i do like the anime adaptation, it just dosent feel like fujimoto or csm, and thats what the fans wanted but instead they got that. Look at dandadan, that right there fits in with fujimotos style especially csm and thats why the vocal community was saying that this is literally a fujimoto type adaptation. I see csm manga as an adaptation right up triggers alley, where they can easily balance goofynes with a serious tone which the anime adaptation never really had. The director for csm definitely has talent and his style can work for various amount of manga or anime, 2 examples being (tokyo ghoul and fire punch) but unfortunately his style just did not fit for csm and sometimes that can happen which is unfortunate, but i will be watching out for works he is on cause, once again he does have talent for directing

@DioBrando_69420 Does it looks better than all of your favourite anime also ? I mean obviously it looks miles better than One Piece and Naruto but what about others ?

Apr 16, 9:32 PM by ZXEAN
