'Black Clover: Mahou Tei no Ken' Reveals Additional Cast, Trailer
The Black Clover presentation at the Jump Festa 2023 event on Saturday revealed two additional cast members, the theme song, and a trailer for the anime movie. The movie is scheduled to release in Japanese theaters and worldwide on Netflix on March 31.
Miyuki Sawashiro (Noragami) and Houchuu Ootsuka (Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken) are joining the cast as former Wizard Kings Princia Funny Bunny and Edward Aberache.
K-pop group Treasure (Black Clover ending 13) is performing the theme song "Here I Stand," which is previewed in the trailer below.
Tabata began serializing the action fantasy manga in Weekly Shounen Jump in February 2015, after publishing a one-shot in May 2014 in Shounen Jump NEXT!. Shueisha published the 33rd volume on November 4. Black Clover has a cumulative of over 18 million copies of its volumes in circulation worldwide as of this November.
VIZ Media simulpublishes the manga in English on its Shounen Jump platform and shipped the 31st volume on December 6. The 32nd volume is scheduled for a March 7 release. Shueisha's Manga Plus platform also simulpublishes the series in English.
Studio Pierrot adapted the manga into a television anime adaptation that began airing in Fall 2017. The anime series is set to end with its 170th episode on March 30 after a three and half years run. Crunchyroll is simulcasting the show with subtitles, while Funimation is streaming an English dub.
