'Ao no Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati-hen' Unveils New Cast, First Promo

The Jump Super Stage Red at Jump Festa 2024 unveiled three new cast, the story visual (pictured), and first promotional video for the Ao no Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati-hen (Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga) television anime on Saturday. The third anime season will begin airing on January 7 at 12:30 a.m. on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV, followed by MBS, Hokkaido Cultural Broadcasting, and RKB Mainichi Broadcasting.

J-rock band UVERworld is returning to perform the opening theme "Eye's Sentry," and Ima Mulasaki will perform the ending theme "Gakkyuu Nisshi." The opening theme is previewed in the promotional video below.

Daisuke Yoshida (Idol Jihen) helms the new season at Studio VOLN. Toshiya Oono (Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen) is handling the series composition and Yurie Oohigashi (Appare-Ranman!) is the character designer. Kohta Yamamoto (Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season) and Hiroyuki Sawano (Ao no Exorcist) are composing the music.

The anime series adapts Kazue Katou's action fantasy manga, which began in Jump SQ. in April 2009. Shueisha published the 29th volume on July 9, and the 30th volume is scheduled to go on sale on January 4.

VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in November 2010 and released the 28th volume on November 14. The company and Shueisha's Manga Plus platform also simulpublish the chapters in English.

good news that it has a dedicated action director so a lot of the action scenes will get sakuga then

but im worried about the animation producer or anip though the back arrow anime although very enjoyable has weak production overall

and nice that uverworld is back for the op

I had no complaints about the studio's past shonens, but I'm confused by such a big step back after this show was a complete AAA project.
