Stage Play 'Trump' Adapted for TV Anime

The 15th anniversary website of Kenichi Suemitsu's Trump stage play announced a television anime titled Delico's Nursery on Friday. Aniplex also opened an official website for the anime. revealing the main staff, and a teaser visual (pictured). The television anime is a completely new work and a sequel to the Grand Guignol 2017 stage play in the series.

The Trump stage play series by Suemitsu debuted in 2009. Hamaguri began drawing a manga adaptation in Young Ace magazine in November 2020. Kadokawa shipped the fourth volume on July 4.

In a gothic fantasy world, vampires are nobility with the story focusing on an immortal vampire named TRUMP and the ensuing "Blood War" between humans and vampires. I have constantly to remind myself that "Trump" is usually referring to something entirely different in Japan than what we're used to across the pond, when something first comes to mind when you hear that word. Imagine if someone named "Butter" got really famous all over the world, and every time I go to the grocery store, I don't think of the dairy aisle or cows anymore as weird as that sounds...it's that kind of feeling.

At any rate, the art looks amazing. Although I'm skeptical of whether or not this is for me, as this is the kind of story setting geared toward women who loves pretty vampire guys more than I love butter.

Picture gives that gothic vibe but not sure whats it about. Seems like some huge family or whatever. Either ways looks interesting. Also as far as I can see bunch of kids, 3 dudes and 1 girl so it seems so weird shit goes down.

I know most people here are joking but for those who aren't, "trump" is an actual word in English and トランプ refers to Western playing cards in Japanese.
