Murica wants its money now that anime is popular. Kill it with fire before 'anime cinematic universes'.

And to think it's being done by WIT, the studio that should be creating the next AOT.

Greedy capitalist Americans just can't stay away once they smell money.

They finally realized that they need outside help to conjure up ideas that isn't a soulless heap of garbage, at last.

Damn what a missed opportunity from Japan to try which one is stronger truck-kun or Superman.
Instead we got the braindead squad.

I hope the Isekai fad dies soon.

You'd think that after a decade people would stop posting this, especially under an announcement proving that it's stronger than ever.

I hope this wouldn't disappoint me.

This looks pretty cool, the animation looks awesome! Harley and jokers design look pretty great, i cant wait to see the suicide squad line up. Maybe we can see the big bat!(,want more anime of him) but yes im pretty excited. Im hyped already, though i never thought something like this existed, honestly i want more Dc anime stuff cus most of it has been good.

But anyway ill definitely give it a watch!

The music doesn't sell this whatsoever. It's a shoestring budget anime. Anything is better than S2 OPM anyway.

There should be a Deadpool anime if they can do shit like this.

Just realized Tappei's writing the script. It will be fantastic for sure.

If it's based on suicide squad atleast show glimpses of all the characters of the team,
joker and harley duo doesn't make suicide squad.
Amanda Waller is literally shown in the trailer, if this isn't about the Suicide Squad, and is just about Joker and Harley, I doubt she'd be in the show. They more than likely chose to focus on Joker and Harley for this first trailer because they're two of the most popular villains DC has (Harley not so much a straight up villain anymore though)
Amanda indeed was shown in the trailer but she is the creator of the suicide squad progject her being there is reasonable, but i am talking bout other characters like deadshot ,killercroc they are popular too after 2016 and 2021 movie, many people know them even if they known bout suicide squad in general ,i am just doubting that there is a chance of show being focused on these two rather than the team, but again it's just a teaser maybe they'll introduce or show glimpses in the trailer.

Who cares if it's good or bad? It's going to lay eggs if successful.

I had to shift over to Japanese anime to avoid the same spiderman sequel millionth created by formulas tested by corporates.

We're here for original experimental animation with writers creative enough to showcase wildly different stories.

But Murica wants its money now that anime is popular. Kill it with fire before 'anime cinematic universes'.

And to think it's being done by WIT, the studio that should be creating the next AOT.

Whoa what? Anime seems like a perfect platform to express the wild dynamics of these characters, and I like DC comics so I'm definitely interested.

Based is preety cool

I understand Dc trying to follow (a bit 2 late) Marvel idea of anime adaptations of their IPs (besides the Batman ones, who were fine)...but why Suicide Squad first, out of all things?

Wonder Woman, Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, The Titans, Zatanna...there's many more options, more sureproof profitable, you know.

Also, Throwing isekai in the middle in kinda lulz.

Damn, even deep in the weebland you're not free from superhero garbage. Wasn't Suicide Squad a complete failure? And they slap a cancerous growth in the form of isekai on it for what reason?
Suicide Squad (2016) was a MASSIVE commercial success but got panned critically. The Suicide Squad (2021) didn't do well commercially but was praised critically. Suicide Squad (not just movies, but comics and general merchandise as well) is one of DC's most popular franchises, so taking those characters and injecting them into a anime, fantasy setting is actually a very interesting and fun idea.

This is actually a super interesting and fun-sounding idea, so I'm definitely excited about this. But, I have a feeling if this ends up being popular it will spawn a bunch of similar copycat shows, with DC using their other properties and Marvel eventually trying something similiar out too.
