This Year's Highly Anticipated Anime Among Anime Industry People
Top: The Vanishment of Haruhi Suzumiya
The movie draws attentions of the editors of the anime magazines and the anime article writers. Oricon asserted its assured success.
Second: Durarara!!
This title is uncommon as a light novel-based anime that it mainly targets at female audience. The manga adaptation serialized in Monthly G Fantasy will bring more fans.
Third: So・Ra・No・Wo・To
The anime industry people who voted for this title wish its success rather than foresee it. Anime producers long for a great hit of an original work.
Shaft titles also collected good number of votes reflecting the enormous hit of Bakemonogatari.
Other noteworthy titles:
Bakuman
Katanagatari
Arakawa Under the Bridge
Angel Beats!
Dance in the Vampire Bund
Hetalia Axis Powers the Movie

As for Haruhi, Hell yes, I love it and the trailer just got me hyped up to watch the movie, even if there's too much Yuki and I hate Yuki. But the Haruhi (and Koizumi!) scenes make up for that.
Yeah, but since it's the vanishment, the title sort of makes you think Haruhi...won't be around o.O Ye, the trailer got me all over-excited too. My #1 anticipated.
anyway, I've been watching Durarara!, Sora no Woto and Dance in the Vampire Bund. They all look promising. I especially liked the vampire one >:]

Money, it's a gas
Grab that cash with both hands
And make a stash
Haruhi disgusts me to no end. I don't get why it's popular
Marketing....lots and lots of really gimmicky marketing that gets right up in your face until you are forced to acknowledge what is being marketed at you as the next big thing. Kadokawa Shoten had already built a pretty infamous reputation for it's marketing practices, but Haruhi more or less sealed it by essentially bringing about a golden age of custom tailored anime franchises and characters for otaku to worship and spend bankrupting amounts of money on in order to feel they belong and are up to date on the trends.
I'm really surprised Gundam Unicorn isn't up there. The Light Novel did really well and ontop of that it's the first real return to UC we have had in a while.
I think at the stage the Gundam Franchise is at it doesn't even have to be listed as anticipated by insiders, it's kind of just implied. This looks like one of those articles in a business rag that's meant to give investors an idea of newer stuff they might want to take note of.

and the haruhi movie, GTFO, I hate this character D: if she really disappears in the movie, stay away, I cannot describe my hate for her as a character, thus the anticipating for the movie should be lower as well, really <.<
finally... somebody who hates her as much as me

So Ra No Wo To reminds me of "K-ON!". Let's see if it gets the same hype.

Anime producers are sick of having angry fans telling them to adapt manga word for word and want to make their own stuff? That's what it's is telling me
I can only hope so. Fuuuuuck, I hope so.
Seriously, anime fandom's clamoring obsession with the familiar, the boring, and the totally fucking insipid is beyond disgusting and depressing at this point. I'm glad there's still plenty of older stuff for me to watch and interesting things do still get made on occasion, like flowers sprouting up in a landfill, but popular anime has become such a cultural embarrassment. I'd like to think there are some animators out there who are sick of this pandering bullshit and want to do something worthwhile.
Anyway. Sora no Woto looks to me like it may be somewhat reminiscent of Haibane Renmei (which itself drew inspiration from Haruki Murakami's Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World), though not without its own themes and aesthetics—all well and good, but what I really anticipate this year is that thing Masaaki Yuasa is working on, Yojohan Shinwa Taikei. No idea what else. Arakawa Under the Bridge sounds interesting, maybe.

So・ Ra・No・Wo・To seems like K-ON clone.
Well would you like to tell a reason why then?
Because I really don't see it as a K-ON clone, no matter what angle I look from.

It's probably too good for you anyway.

Most intereting I guess is Katanagatari.

I am disappointed to see Dance in the Vampire Bund that low :/ it really should be at least in top 3, because I mean...really Sora no Woto failed from what I've seen in the first episode, it won't be any good, if it doesn't make a 180° turn
and the haruhi movie, GTFO, I hate this character D: if she really disappears in the movie, stay away, I cannot describe my hate for her as a character, thus the anticipating for the movie should be lower as well, really <.<
Arakawa Under the Bridge is a SHAFT title, nothing to complain about, I'll watch it, dunno what to expect though.
as for Durarara!! well, the first episode wasn't bad, but I woudn't exactly put it that high on the anticipation list, little overhyped too. it'll be in the top 3 of winter season this year, but that's about it I guess

Wasn't Kon satoshi producing an anime this year?
I'd anticipate that more than anything else.
A kids' movie no less. I'll watch it but to be honest I don't really look forward to Satoshi Kon. I just watch his stuff when I can.

Very good list, am looking forward to Angel Beats! personally.
Also, how did a thread about this year's highly anticipated anime turned in another Sora no Woto vs K-ON! argument.....WHEN WILL THE HATE END???

The first two look promising.
I bet Sora no Woto will disappoint.
