Holy shit, Blue Lock smashing the ranks. I'm not surprised though, I'm glad it's been very successful.

Angel Next Door being #1 is a delight, that anime/LN is enough to cause type 30 diabetes.

With Roshidere and Angel next door taking over sales in LNs think is safe to say the Isekai fad is fading

BlueLock is peak indeed.dont let lonely men who gives ranks to fictional 2d women on his profile tell u otherwise 🤓☝️

Welp, this is a big loss for the future of anime. In my opinion out of those 5 only One Piece is at least worth something (the manga is apparently good, the anime... not so much), but the other four? Eww. I really hate to hate on manga and anime others love, but gosh, Blue Lock was probably one of the worst shows of the decade, maybe even century. The one thing it had going for it (because the message, characters and storys were... lets leave it at 'bad') was its animation and soundtrack, and well, half into the show the animation got worse and worse to the point I wondered if the production teams funds got frozen or something. Chainsaw Man was completely overhyped, and honestly, it was so uninspiring that even my best friend, who watches everything Shonen Jump, dropped it in 5 episodes. I could only sit through it one episode further, but had enough then as well. At first, I thought the MC was relatable, but that hold up for like one episode at most. The other characters fell flat as well, the action was nonsensical, it was just... absolute average, really. Jujutsu Kaisen is just as uninspiring with so many bad characters (only Gojo matters, everyone else is boring), and then Slam Dunk, 800 years old and still one of in my opinion the worst depictions of basketball. On the plusside, at least Otonari no Tenshi-sama has the topspot in Light Novels. But aside from that, the future looks bleak. I guess the next decade I only have rewatches or random Isekai I never heard of before to watch, because 'new' Shonen (CCM and JJK) is dead on arrival (and we had a good 'new' Shonen in BnHA, before Horikoshi lost his way with the last 2-3 arcs) and other shows want to be edgy as well. Guess the 2020s will be the edgy decade.

Blue Lock is peak, glad to see it on top doing really well. Seeing it at the top also makes me happy because it makes the pretentious MAL elitists mad 🙏 "I cannot believe such edgy fujobait drivel is at the top instead of my favorite underrated obscure manga that barely anyone knows about. *Blah blah more meaningless buzzwords and complaining about the current state of the anime industry and people's inferior garbage taste* 🤓☝"

So if I check Frog-kun's blog, means that I am taking it seriously?
You didn't answer my question. You didn't just "check the blog", you literally accused me of lying and took the time to check it out, only to catch me doing it.
I wasn't accusing you of anything.

I was just checking her blog because I read that often.

It's not that serious, I've been familiar with Frog-kun's blog for a while now, so I just wanted to confirm if what you said is true or not.
Because I've seen more people talking about how this show will cause controversy, than the controversy itself.

Trust me, "amerizoomers" don't care about this show at all.
I can say this from personal experience, as nothing really changed for the Russian kids here at my school, the continued to get along with American kids just as they had before.

It's mostly the old mainstream "liberals" that care about this stuff, not the new generation, specially those who watch anime.

I doubt there will be a significant number of "amerizoomers" boycotting this show, there might a few here and there, but certainly the vast majority will not care at all.

It's just  amerizoomers being amerizoomers. Let them do their silly "cancelling" of stuff they would not even buy anyway. With enough luck, they gonna do enough buzz in their twitter bubbles who will atract some neutral normies attention, and thus make it MORE POPULAR than it would be. No such thing as bad publicity.

Also, let's be real: LOL, LMAO, XD, ahaha, even.

It's like if I would like to go boycotting MCU cuz the heroes are americans, and, you known, no WMDs on Iraq, funding to South America brutal military dictatorships in the 1960's-1980's (my poor country included), etc, etc, etc.

Hell, at least the MCU HAS some politics and looooots of cultural americanisms shoved in, this stuff is just a romantic slice of life with a teen girl russian-who-lives-in-japan (or uzbek-russian, if people spoiled me correctly) who rumbles in her native language from time to time. VERY Political, such Vatnik, author is totally a Dugin-pilled guy with Zs on his own house /s.

If this was that Isekai Putin (Ride on King), I would comprehend the angryness, but THIS?!

Looks like Kusuriya no Hitorigoto is finally going down in sales of older volumes. But... Since it's finally getting an anime, sales of older volumes are going to explode again soon lmao.

I stopped paying attention to this after a lot of people who made fun of the boycott of Hogwarts Legacy, non-ironically called for a boycott of Atomic Heart, lol.
