I know. I mean they can use 3D CGI, but not make the whole work in this. It looks awful.

im just implying i rather watch this good level of 3DCG than bad 2D animation

In this case you are right.

even Attack on Titan so called most popular anime worldwide did not escape 3DCG though and look at how mid the 2D animation of the final season is

same with One Punch Man season 2 so its easier said than done

Not all, but for such good work it is possible, I am sure.

Good, bit the fact that this is 3D CGI movie is awful. They better make normal TV series without all these 3D.

the 3DCG looks great they seem to use motion capture to make it more realistic

I kinda wish it was traditional animation, but Dragon Ball Super Hero ended up impressing me, so we'll see.

The drawing is very bad and disappointing, the old anime is a hundred times better than it

I really want to watch this movie but anyone please tell me if this is a reboot or sequel or maybe a original movie. If this is a sequel I will read manga uptill this point or will watch the old anime

Either read the whole manga or watch the anime and then follow the rest in the manga. check mangaupdate to see where it deviates. The art in the last arc (wich would probably be covered by the movie) is outstanding and deserves to be appreciated in that format. it also help the pacing is fast.

They should made normal TV series instead of this.

I don't think that's how anime adaptation opportunity works. Plus it's Takehiko Inoue first time so obvious it would be a movie instead of series. Katsuhiro Otomo also started out with shorts and movies, so it makes sense for mangaka will not outright work on tv series

I hope they make TV series too.

The cgi looks good tbh. Probably may look even better in actual anime since it improved in dbs super hero too.

I should start watching the old anime before it comes out. Who knows it may be a sequal

The CGI looks pretty cool to be honest. I suppose one could expect this project to be more than just a one off thing if the original voice actors aren't involved. I guess this project isn't really solely aiming to evoke nostalgia for the ip.

They made movie to grab the casj. It is disgusting.

As the cgi defender I cannot defend this. Which is sad.

Even the CGI defender cannot defend the CGI on this one 😭😭😭

I am the guy who likes and enjoys Ajin, Sidonia, and the Eden (ONA) for example. All of them have positives due to CGI/3D, but this I will never defend. CGI needs to be like how the Arknight game trailers work for the 2.5 3 and 3.5 anniversery. This just looks uncanny.
