First ever Anime I have seen. Read the manga like many times and watched the anime many many times! I thought the Nationals was incredible, felt upset the anime was canceled in between. After watching and reading Slam Dunk I couldn't start ANY OTHER manga, then I found Haikyuu. Oh well, I'm ranting. I am excited!!!!

Agreed. I hope we will see the rest of the story from the manga. Really missed my tensai boy Hanamichi. Maybe they will divide it into 2 or 3 parts, who knows?

I'm dying to watch some Slam Dunk content.

Guess it's been more than 23 years for me. Watched the show 4 times which makes 4x101..

I wish the latter parts would get anime adaptation as well..

one more year? Ok, i trust them. Even if i don't think it will compensate for the manga chapters never converted to anime, i'm hyped.

i always wanted to get into slam dunk and now this news gives me
a proper reason to do it.

I believe that I once heard or read that Inoue-sensei wasn't, exactly, happy with the previous adaptation. Knowing that, it comes as no surprise that he wanted to take the matter into his own hands. :D

>Director, Script: Takehiko Inoue
So he's following the Katsuhiro Otomo route. I hope he manages to be as good as him.

Aug 14, 2021 1:07 AM by Theo1899

Inoue himself involved as a director and script writer, this will probably be something special.

Aug 14, 2021 12:56 AM by removed-user

Do new anime fans even know what Slam Dunk is?
I admit I only started hearing about this series last year or so and that was from some random Anitube video.

Other than that, congrats to sports anime fans!
