'Dr. Stone: Science Future' Reveals Additional Cast, Staff, Teaser Promo
The official website for the Dr. Stone: Science Future television anime revealed on Thursday additional cast, new staff, main visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video. The new season premieres in January 2025.Kenji Nojima (Golden Kamuy) and Kouji Yusa (Yowamushi Pedal) are joining the cast as Dr. Xeno and Stanley Snyder, respectively.
Kurasumi Sunayama (Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo) replaces Yuuichirou Kido as series composition and Chiyuki Kojima is replacing Takeshi Kuzuyama as director of photography.
Shuuhei Matsushita (Dr. Stone: Ryuusui) returns to direct the new season at TMS Entertainment. Yuuko Iwasa (Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Meiou Shinwa) is returning as character designer and Tatsuya Katou (Trigun Stampede), Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Tokyo Revengers), and Kanesaka Yuki (Dr. Stone) as music composers.
Dr. Stone adapts Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi's post-apocalyptic adventure sci-fi manga, which ran in Weekly Shounen Jump from March 2017 to March 2022. Shueisha published the 26th and final volume in July 2022.
A nine-chapter side story, titled Dr. Stone Reboot: Byakuya, was serialized in the same magazine from October to December in 2019.
VIZ Media licensed the manga in English and shipped the 26th and final volume in July 2023. Shueisha is also releasing the manga and side story digitally in English on its Manga Plus platform.
