Here is the yearly anime CD sales ranking for December 22nd 2008 - December 21st 2009.
I manually picked up anime related titles from Oricon general CD rankings top 100. If I miss some titles, please let me know. Thank you.

at least we have a few fmab themes ...awesome.....period will land in next year's list for sure....and SID sure is popular......ive heard there is a rage for their new single as well

Man, it's sooo tough to pick. I'm not sure if I like the FMA OP/ED listed as much as I wanted to. I probably only like the Refrain of Yui's "Again".

Hooray for gundam 00. It has nice music definately. Especially "prototype".

The Album CD list all has good things :D

K-ON! truly had the best sound (Inb4 rage) so it being the best seller pleases me.

agreed, it makes sense though since Kobukuro are huge in Japan. I actually thought they would be higher since I remember following the Oricon charts at the time at the single 'Niji' which Summer Rain is of was up there for ages, not to mention their other single and album too :)

Damn K-on though, hate those songs.

I like K-ON!, so, y'know.

But yeah, Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari is frickin' beautiful and should be higher.

I would rather see the ED, futuristic imagination, by school food punishment. THAT was the best anime song of the year. But the OP was good, too.

Happy to see Bakemonogatari and FMA: B OP there, though. Sadly, almost all of the K-ON! songs are up on the list. They were good, but extremely overrated.

Some mentionable singles (that sadly couldn't make it to the list) are imo:
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood ED2 Single: LET IT OUT - Miho Fukuhara
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (2009) OP Single: Super Driver - Aya Hirano
CANAAN OP Singe: mind as Judgment - Faylan
Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ OP1 Single: KARMA - KOKIA
Spice and Wolf II OP Single: Mitsu no Yoake - Akino Arai
And of course: Eden of the East Movie 1: The King of Eden OP Single: light prayer - school food punishment, but it wasn't long since it was released, so it couldn't possibly have a chance to get to the list.
