'Itou Junji: Maniac' Reveals Main Cast Members [Update 7/25]

The official website of the Itou Junji: Maniac (Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre) anime revealed the main cast for four stories on Friday. The anime is scheduled to premiere worldwide on Netflix in 2023.

The anime adapts 20 stories from Junji Itou's horror manga collection, Itou Junji Kessaku-shuu (Junji Ito Masterpiece Collection). On Friday, two works from Itou Junji Kessaku-shuu (Junji Ito Masterpiece Collection) were nominated for this year's Eisner Awards.

Only noticed that two works of Ito-san were nominated in Eisner Awards! As a big fan of Junji-san works I am very glad!

It is a mistake. 20 stories will be adapted:

The anime will debut in 2023, and will include 20 stories from Ito's body of work that will be animated "for the first time." The anime will include stories from Tomie, Sōichi, and The Hanging Balloons volumes, among other volumes.
