'Shinka no Mi: Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei' Gets New TV Anime
The first anime series produced by animation studio Hotline aired in 12 episodes in Fall 2021. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with subtitles.
Shinka no Mi adapt Miku's adventure fantasy light novel, which began on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in January 2014. Futabasha began publishing the title in September that year, featuring illustrations by U35 (Shiroi Suna no Aquatope). The 14th volume shipped on March 30. Hanashi Media licensed the light novel in English this February.
Sorano originally began drawing a manga adaptation in Web Comic Action in September 2017 before switching to Gaugau Monster in December 2019. Futabasha released the seventh volume last September.
Synopsis
One day, a man claiming to be a god suddenly hacks a certain school's intercoms, ordering all of its students to team up and prepare to be transported to another world. There, they will be given special skills in the hopes that they become that world's heroes and defeat the Demon King that ravages the land.
The initial transfer is a success. However, Seiichi Hiiragi, who suffers from his classmates' constant bullying due to his somewhat undesirable appearance, is left behind as no one is willing to be his teammate. Nevertheless, the self-proclaimed god decides to send Seiichi to the parallel world and lets him join his peers. Unfortunately, this fateful ordeal causes Seiichi to arrive at a location deep in the forest, far not only from his schoolmates but from human civilization as well.
Desperately searching for a way to change his predicament, Seiichi's miserable days only seem to continue to worsen. Yet when all hope seems lost, Seiichi discovers a strange fruit known as the "Fruit of Evolution"—which may be his first step toward a significantly better future. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Your kidding right?
We have been getting a lot more sequal annoucements to shows that in the past would of been seen as one off promotional material.
To name a Few:
Arifuerita
Tsuki ga Michibiku
Seirei Gensouki
Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko
Kimi to Boku no Saigo no Senjou
Slime Taoshite 300-nen
and so on.
The industry is changing as more of these type of shows are getting more sequals. i guess their is still a decent demand for them.
Hold up, TsukiMichi doesn't belong on that list. The rest of those have no soul at all (maybe with the exception of Kimi to Boku which had like 1/3 of a soul). TsukiMichi actually felt like the adaptation had some passion behind it.
I enjoyed it almost as much as I enjoyed Slime, though I am a reader of TsukiMichi's source material so that may tint my view a bit.

Maybe they changed the Studio or the Visual director or something?

now, as to S2... most shows that get a S2 announcement recently have been pre-planned split cours or multi-season plans that were charted out previously. i believe 'Fruit' needed multiple 'reasons' for getting a S2, that's why the announcement has taken 3 months. TV ratings had to be good, BR/DVD sales (which i bet all the disks are out by now in Japan) had to be good, the bump in sales of the LN and Manga were good, and the various streaming platforms that picked Fruit up had to have good traffic on the files.
since i don't see a dub anywhere, Crunchy only subbed it, plus 'Fruit' was a pre-Sony-Aniplex/Funimation/Crunchyroll merger/conglomerate show... shrug! i doubt Funimation will pick up S1 for a dub and mass release it right before S2 opens... but i bet Ani/Funi/Crunchy WILL snatch up S2 for a sub at a minimum...
they really do need to think up a better name for their mashup anime-group... sigh... mergers and acquisitions are such a pain... :/

I'm genuinely curious why you think this. Do explain.

Though I am willing to see if Season 2 can amp the shit outta Season 1 in terms of its trashiness.

Do not forget also that now any hyped source gets a full adaptation.
