'Shin Tennis no Ouji-sama: U-17 World Cup' Unveils Additional Cast, First Promo for Summer 2022

The Shin Tennis no Ouji-sama: U-17 World Cup (The Prince of Tennis II: U-17 World Cup) special stage at AnimeJapan revealed on Saturday five additional cast, theme songs, the first key visual (pictured) and first promotional video. The new season is scheduled to premiere on TV Tokyo in July 2022.

Jürgen Borisovich Volk: Kentarou Tone (Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru!)
Zeus Iliopoulos: Tomokazu Seki (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 6: Stone Ocean)
J.J. Dorgias: Subaru Kimura (Re-Main)
Alexander Amadeus: Kazuyuki Okitsu (Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru)
Prince Ludovic Shardar: Natsuki Hanae (Hoshiai no Sora)

Rappers Yoshiki Ezaki and Bleecker Chrome are performing the opening theme "I can fly," and TeniPri Artistars will perform the ending theme "Dear Friend."

Keiichirou Kawaguchi (SKET Dance) is helming the new season at Studio Kai and M.S.C.. Mitsutaka Hirota (Edens Zero) is handling the series composition. Akiharu Ishii (Shin Tennis no Ouji-sama) is the character designer and chief animator director.

The original sports manga by Takeshi Konomi was published in Weekly Shounen Jump from 1998 to 2008. The sequel manga began in Jump SQ the following year. Shueisha published the 35th volume on January 4.

The television anime series follows the events of the previous installment, Shin Tennis no Ouji-sama OVA vs. Genius 10 (The Prince of Tennis II OVA vs Genius10). The latest installment, Ryouma! The Prince of Tennis Shinsei Movie: Tennis no Ouji-sama, premiered in Japan on September 3.
