JK Haru is a Sex Worker in Another World anime adaptation f*cking when?!

I mean, we already have a manga adaptation of that one...kinda a good one.

I have read and dropped it and there is no chance of me watching the adaptation. Japan often has shit taste as it proved with SAO/Shield Hero/Gate/Erased etc. This is one of those. That's all I want to say

Sorta agree, but I would rate this around C+/C...yeah, no big difference, I know. The boss char get's in my nerves.

Shield Hero is very popular overseas, far more than in Japan (I agree is bad, every ep after the 4 was either disappointing or a disaster).

Erased even got in MAL top 5 for a few weeks ( I know, MAL ranks mean NOTHING nowadays, still...), beofre the last episodes made fall from grace like a asteroid in free fall.

While mocking SAO is kind of a dank meme in this English Speaking Weaboo community (courtesy of Digibro, Mother's Basement, and, early on, Dranconismarch), it still has enough fans to have it's so many games allways localized very fast. Wonder when they will make one you play as your OC, NOT DAMN KIRITO...

I had fun shitposting about this on Mangadex chapter threads. I'd imagine I'll have just as much fun doing so in the episode discussion threads Lmao

can't agree more with what @shanimebib said, the drama is so forced it actually make me cringe, its forced and useless and the main male character is just your generic self insert MC.

while reading it, it was like the author was telling me "cmon dude pity the girl plz, you want more edgyness ? ok i'll make her past a bit shittier then."

and when the "drama" ends, you have some "comedy" scenes that are completely uninteresting and not funny at all and well what to say about the secondary characters ? its hard to say but they are even shittier than darling in the frankxx secondary cast and trust me thats a feat.

it just works because the girl does a cute smile here and there, and from what i've seen of the staff, its a shitty staff but well im pretty sure it'll get popular and its sad

the whole concept of the manga is disgusting and fcked up

eh, from what I've seen in the manga at least there's nothing really indicating he's meant to be a "self insert character" tbh.

also

>forced pity flag
hahhahhahah lol okey

though like @Phloup said, I'm wondering how this studio is gonna handle this adaptation given how they've mainly been doing less serious tone shows. If Choujin and Shironeko Project are anything to go off of, can expect the art style to be amazing

eh ? taste is subjective you know ? there isn't something like good taste or bad taste

Synopsis got me a little bit, I hope it's a great adaptation.

Apparently I missed it, thanks. I have been reading manga for a long time, so this might sound interesting.

If that's the case, then the same can be said about the western audience's taste... Taste is subjective to each individual, so this notion that one section/part of the world has better taste than the other one is moronic.

In interviews, the producer of Shield Hero says that the anime adaptation was made for occident audient mainly, because it's more popular overseas, so this side of the planet has the same taste. Anyways shield hero is the wost anime of 2019.

The synopsis is so basic yet so intriguing. I'm all in for drama. Looking forward to see the final result.

Well, I'm suddenly kind of worried for this adaptation. Project No.9 is not necessarily the best studio out there. In the past, they've seem to mainly focus on comedies, so I'll be curious into seeing how they will adapt a drama. Additionally, it seems that it's a new director that will be directing it. I can only hope that he's able to make a name for himself by directing an amazing anime.

That title had me laughing for a good minute. Light novels titles are pure bait and I love it
