The official website of the television anime adaptation of Akutami Gege's Jujutsu Kaisen (Sorcery Fight) manga revealed the production staff on Wednesday. TOHO animation also posted the first promotional video. The anime series will air on Fridays at 1:25 a.m. on MBS and TBS' Super Animeism programming block in October 2020.

Character Design: Tadashi Hiramatsu (Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu, Yuri!!! on Ice)

Jump GIGA serialized a four-chapter prototype by Gege titled Tokyo Toritsu Jujutsu Koutou Senmon Gakkou (Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical School) between April and July 2017. The supernatural action manga joined Weekly Shounen Jump's regular lineup the following March. Shueisha published the tenth volume on March 4, with the 11th volume planned for a June 4 release. Jujutsu Kaisen has a cumulative 4.5 million copies of its volumes in print.

VIZ Media published the first three chapters of the manga in English simultaneously with the Japanese release as a part of its Jump Start initiative. The company now simulpublishes the series digitally through its new Shounen Jump service. The third volume shipped on April 7. Shueisha also began simulpublishing the manga in English on its Manga Plus platform last January.

Low budget with heavy korean quality, even picks out the guy that is good with rough lines that the manga has but it's ruined because of the low quality of the animators.

I would sue of I were the mangaka, what a mess.

L. Jujutsu Kaisen ended up as an incredible series and one of the highest rated and one of the most popular series out there

I read a bit of the manga some time ago and found it quite fun, has potential to make an entertaining anime. I like what I see from this PV, hopefully production doesn't fall apart midway through like most of MAPPA's shows.

hope that it'll become very big and popular and Mappa will gain a lot of money and will produce new seasons of Dorohedoro

there is netflix japan and there is netflix international. it's probably the first, as it was not netflix exclusive and aired in TV time slot not owned by netflix. nothing about international release information has been released yet, but as time slot suggested, netflix is not funding this.

ah ok thats reassuring to know

It should have been Gonzo

if you want the anime to fail, yeah, Gonzo should have done it

Having Gonzo is asking for an anime that's dead on arrival...

PV looks promising granted my experience with MAPPA on Dororo hopes this is only going to be 1 cour or that it doesn't fall off with regards to it's animation in the second half. Well always game for a new battle shonen.

Quite enjoyed the atmosphere of this trailer, didn't show a lot in terms of animation though. I'm a little on the fence because of MAPPA, because they tend to be kind of hit or miss for me. I loved Inuyashiki, but I found Dororo, when trying to be more serious, was just kind of boring

From what I have see this is quite a generic entry into the supernatural genre. Weeeeeell... Mappa is know to either hit or miss, so I will give them the benefit of doubt while they are flipping a coin. We will see.
