Why does this look better than the new Yu-Gi-Oh! show?

Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens is a joke so I can't wait for Shadowverse, the trailer looks amazing.

I don't think that the two of you understand what he is talking about. What he say is that the announcement of MR4/20 completely buried whatever hype people get for Sevens. Just comparing from reaction when MR4/20 is announced in which the crowd cheer to a dead silent when Sevens PV is announced. MR4/20 becoming instant hot commodity while Sevens treated as a joke.

Yeah, my bad. It must be surreal for them to see seven's pv and and expected that to be the next mainline yugioh anime. Something that actually looks like a proper ygo like the OCG structures manga adaptation would've been better received.
Come to think about it, I haven't seen the manga page for it here. It's a WSJ title that's getting a tankoubon release for pete's sake!

Well i don't think the new Master Rule destroyed anything. I mean the game is already dead during the link era. XD
Atleast now we can play any deck without forced useing the broken blue cards...
But yea for me the only fun yugioh thing is duel links. I give chances to the new yugioh becuse the story is not sounds that bad. Character design is lame only.

Yu-Gi-Oh clone confirmed. I'll give it a try because Sevens is a pile of garbage, it's actually so bad that no one cheered during the Yu-Gi-Oh event when it was shown (Note: It was shown minutes after Master Rule 4.5 or 5 depending on your preference of number, but either way, that new Master Rule destroyed the anime on arrival).

Actually sevens promoted an entirely new format called "rush duel" which is a spin off speed duel (the one that they used in duel links, which is a miniaturized version of the real game). The one that they cheered at is the master rule 4 revision which allowed multiple fusion, synchro and xyz cards to be summoned without link monsters, a change that the entire playerbase worldwide welcomed as a whole.
As for the shadowverse anime, I still don't get why they opted to go the children's anime route. The gacha game wasn't exactly marketable to kids (it has lots of risque materials and crossovers with nerdy franchises). They'll have to duke it out with another regulars like duel masters and vanguard too. It'll either end up in mediocrity or a phyrric victory at best.

I'm more excited for this now than before Yu Gi Oh Sevens was anounced, lol.
I like the character designs, ngl but the cards look super out of place to me.

I thought they would be actually adapting the in-game story, not making a Yu-Gi-Oh clone...if I wanted to watch kids playing card games, I would have gone for any of the Yu-Gi-Oh shows :/ guess I'm getting no animated Rowan

Why does this look better than the new Yu-Gi-Oh! show?
It doesn't have to try hard to look better than Sevens.
Sadly most anime looks better than it.
