'Adachi to Shimamura' Announces Staff, Additional Cast

The official website of the Adachi to Shimamura (Adachi and Shimamura) television anime revealed staff, additional cast members, a teaser visual (pictured), and the first promotional video on Friday. The anime series adapting Hitoma Iruma's yuri light novel will air on TBS in 2020.

Akari Kitou (Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e) and Miku Itou (BanG Dream!) are starring as the main leads Sakura Adachi and Hougetsu Shimamura, respectively.

Iruma began writing the series in Dengeki Bunko Magazine in October 2012, 1.5 years after concluding his Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko (Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl) light novel. Dengeki Bunko began publishing the novel with artworks by Nozomi Ousaka (Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!) in March 2013. The eighth volume went on sale on May 10.

Square Enix's Gangan Online magazine serialized a three-volume manga adaptation by Mani from 2016–2017. Illustrator Moke Yuzuhara began drawing a new manga adaptation in Dengeki Daioh's July 2019 issue on May 27. Kadokawa published the first volume on November 27.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the light novel in English on September 18 and plans to ship the first volume on June 2, 2020.

Really?! NICE!!xD That series was one of my favourites to date (though I've only seen the anime, sorry..) Now I'm even more hyped for this!!

Waaaa my Shimamura is finally here. But why did they change her eye color? I prefer the brown ones like in the novel. And her voice is so on point. Exactly the way I imagined it.

Adachi's voice is quite unexpected. Nezuko's voice was cute but Adachi sounds cold. But I guess that's because she have a cold personality. Still, it was very unexpected for me,I always imagined her to have a cute, shy, awkward voice.
