'Kakushigoto' TV Anime Reveals Staff and Cast for April 2020

The January 2020 issue of Monthly Shounen Magazine revealed the main cast, staff, and a teaser visual for the Kakushigoto television anime on Friday. The anime series adapting Kouji Kumeta's slice of life comedy manga will debut in April 2020. Avex Pictures also posted a 30-second teaser promotional video.

Music: Yukari Hashimoto (3-gatsu no Lion, Yuri Kuma Arashi)

Hiroshi Kamiya (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Noragami) is reprising his role as the father Kakushi Gotou from the 2016 promotional video produced by Shaft. Voice actress Rie Takahashi (Fate/Grand Order: First Order, Yuru Camp△) will play the daughter Hime Gotou.

Kumeta published a full-color four-page prototype of the manga in Monthly Shounen Magazine in November 2015, three years after concluding Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei). Kakushigoto began regular serialization in the magazine's January 2016 issue the following month. Kodansha shipped the tenth volume on November 15.

Kamiyan in real life is also a father too, so basically is doesn't hard to voiced a father since that and megumin become kamiyan's daughter 😀😀😀😀

I just noticed I really enjoyed most anime based on his manga so this hypes me up! Zetsubou Sensei is still one of my favourite thigs to go back to once in a while.
Also HiroC voicing the MC? that's a big plus for me

Can't say I'm not worried about the studio animating this because of the characteristic style but I'll keep my mind open

well, I'm disappointed. The art should be more flat and geometric, Hime's voice doesn't work and the staff isn't promising. At least music is done by Hashimoto Yukari, she's done some amazing work on 3-gatsu , BLoom Into You and Sarazanmai

I have absolutely no faith in the staff, but I'm gonna go ahead and pray for a miracle. The strength of the source material SHOULD be able to carry this nicely enough still.

Kinda expected that it's not going to be Shaft since they are doing Madoka this Winter and another anime this Summer but man i'm disappointed it's not them.

Well, at least Kamiya is still voicing the MC.

Still looking forward to it.
