It didn't have much competition this week compared to Vol 1. Even so, I don't think it's enough for another season. Rakudai sells a similar amount at this level and it has yet to get another season. So it could also be the case for DxD

Manga have always a huge hit in every country (comic in western).

Another example if you may is the Slime isekai, It has like 200-500k sales each for most of the volume while the LN barely hit 50k-100k.

Im glad SAO sell well, but its a bit decline in sales for third week. And LN adaptions this season are doing good in boost sales.
