New Cast Members Revealed for 'Ikkitousen: Western Wolves'

New cast members for the Ikkitousen franchise's new anime entry Western Wolves were revealed in a promotional video posted by Media Factory on Friday. All of the cast members will reprise their roles, except for Yui Horie, who will be replaced by Ayaka Ohashi (Akame ga Kill!) for the role of Chuubou Sonken. In addition, a new key visual was revealed.

Cast
Ashiya Douman: Hiromi Igarashi (Brave Witches)
Shikyo Shounin: Hisao Egawa (Black Lagoon)
Ekisai: Honoka Inoue (Asobi Asobase)
Nansai: Minami Takahashi (Shokugeki no Souma)
Kotetsu: Shizuka Itou (High School DxD)

The OVA, consisting of three episodes, will ship on Blu-ray and DVD on February 27. The episodes will be broadcast via AT-X and the first episode will air on January 3, followed by episode two and three in February and March, respectively.

Ikkitousen is based on the manga by Yuji Shiozaki. Takashi Watanabe, who directed the 2003 TV anime, will serve as chief director and Mitsutoshi Satou (Shokugeki no Souma assistant director) will direct the new series at studio Arms.

Nice need more Mou chan and Kanu! also looking forward for more of Himiko she is top tier in looks! but like i thought when this was announced this will not be a full season which is understandable because Shin doesn't have a lot of material, they could have at least done another filler season or something but at its more Ikkitousen so that's something.

So looking forward to this, Ikki Tousen is one of my favourite Anime, but it doesn't help that it was one of the first 5 Anime I watched, loved all 4 Seasons and the Extravaganza Epoch OVA, hoping that a season 5 would come, i'm happy that we're getting something from Ikki Tousen but still would've liked a full season than only 3 episodes... I suppose they could bundle the Extravaganza Epoch OVA and Western Wolves together on the DVD/Blu Ray, if it gets picked up outside Japan
