Staff and Additional Cast for 'Saint Seiya: Saintia Shou' Announced

The official website of the Saint Seiya: Saintia Shou anime series revealed main staff, additional cast, as well as a new key visual (pictured) on Monday.

Xiaoling Ursa Minor: Suzuko Mimori (Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight)
Erda Cassiopeia: Ayana Taketatsu (Dagashi Kashi)
Katya Northern Crown: Yukiko Morishita (Sengoku Night Blood)
Pavo Mayura: Rina Satou (Persona 5 the Animation)

The anime will premiere on Amazon Prime Video's SkyPer! Anime Set channel on December 10 at 7:00 p.m. The first three episodes will debut on Animax on PlayStation app on the same schedule. Animax will then premiere the first two episodes on December 24, and air episode three from January 7, 2019 onwards. The anime will also stream on dTV's dAnimax channel on January 5.

The action adventure manga by Masami Kurumada and Chimaki Kuori began serialization in Champion RED magazine in August 2013. Akita Shoten published the 11th volume on February 20 and plans to ship the 12th volume on December 20.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English in May 2017 and released the fourth volume on November 27. The fifth volume is scheduled to go on sale on February 19, 2019.

Knowing the anime fanbase, they will still blame Toei if anything goes wrong...

Well, Gonzo is nowadays more or less a meme studio, but that's exactly why they sometimes gather interesting talents on their shows such as Hiroshi Ikehata or Shigeyasu Yamauchi. Especially the latter I want to see do some episode direction on this new Saint Seiya show, considering Yamauchi's history with it. Staff itself is pretty whatever though.

Really surprised Gonzo is going to be the studio for this. I mean, I think this is the first Saint Seiya series since The Lost Canvas that doesn't has Toei as the studio (though seeing that Toei is still in charge of the production, it wouldn't be that different from previous entries).

New cast is pretty good.
