I haven't searched for Japanese link but you can easily find English version digital ones in Kodansha site.
Yeah? I said at similar points they had same sales like toubun, kaguya had 40-50k at halfway through I think once.
just checked, they do exist, but not as good as shueisha... since it's way slower, much more restrictive...
And it's kind of different... 5toubun got explosive popularity since the start... but the increase rate has showed slow decline...
while Kaguya wasn't even sold that much it first 3 volume, it get massive boost when moved into Young jump, the slowed down last 3 volume...
for comparison with we never learn...
not explosive, but steady increase...
Interesting to see bokuben and toubun sales are same at similar points(at volume 5, in fact toubun has more and has reached 80k, whereas bokuben was 70k at that time) so yeah those who were saying bokuben sales were massive/more were wrong. In fact bokuben sales have been unsteady, like volume 7.
Kaguya sales are interesting too, got a massive boost suddenly.

can you give me the link? again, i don't remember you can buy 5 toubun japanese version of it volume it digitalized, let alone chapter... while in bokuben, if you search it japanese name on google, it's on top 3 result...
also komi and kaguya technicaly even slower than bokuben... and they are currently highest sold not yet anime adapted ongoing romance... both are not from jump (komi is SS and kaguya is YJ)...

Kodansha USA has digital version of toubun anyway so yeah probably the same goes for Japanese version
Either way you are having a laugh comparing wsj romcom popularity/sales to other romcoms(even other hugely popular manga like komi or kaguya were nowhere close to those sales at a similar point), toubun sales are closer to those two at similar volumes with early anime adaptation too so yeah that's good enough.

kind of funny since digitalization is very strong on shueisha, when you can buy bokuben for 200 yen per chapter and even it digital volume version also sold in jump+... something you can't said with 5 toubun because i don't remember they are available in mangabox, and they still sold better than them...
glad that japan share taste with me... i don't mind some light slow romcom as long has rewarding heavy comedic sol, than fast paced filled with drama nonsense...

Lol what? Yuna and bokuben gets wsj boost, this has nothing to do with quality or what's the generic formula for romcom. Toubun has good sales, great popularity in Japan(see the fanarts or popularity polls), it can't match with wsj sales(for now, but it's increasing). As simple as that.
By that logic yamada kun should have been competing with wsj romcoms being the same formula but that wasn't the case.
I'm not denying 5-toubun sales, just that the manga with the format of bokuben and yuna are more popular. We saw it with To love Ru, we saw it with it's sequel Darkness on Jump Square, we saw it on Ranma and Urusei Yatsura in the 90s, we saw it with 100% Ichigo and so many romcom that had sales bigger than 5-toubun at the same time and many of those weren't at Shonen Jump. Ranma for example reached 50 million of sales and it was a sunday manga.
No point in comparing Ranma to these manga, it's a completely different type with martial arts/action playing a part among lots of other things, and an already famous mangaka's new work. Tlr darkness already had that huge popularity behind it because of tlr. Ichigo 100℅ is wsj manga lol.

Maybe because the romcom genre isn't about plot but episodic chapters of comedy and character interactions. Romcom with fowrard plot are the exception and not the rule at all. It's why the ones more episodic are the most successful like To Love Ru, Nisekoi, Ranma and Urusei Yatsura and why Yuna and Bokuben sells better than 5-toubun, much like past entries in other magazines including manga of shounen magazine and sunday did.

That one is a wsj manga, of course it will sell more lol. Toubun sales are very good for a non jump manga. And yes toubun's plot development is 5 times faster than generic romcoms like bokuben.

"A draggy jump romcom" has much more sales than this. And 5-toubun is in a certain way "draggy" because that's the part of romcom genre as a whole.

Pretty good for a new series that's not a draggy JUMP romcom without an anime.
I'm really hoping the anime this Winter will be done by studio feel. under Oikawa Kei.

well, bokuben was barely on the top of magazine, until 4 volume or so... i think thats the reason why go toubun anime adaptation anounced way faster than bokuben... the one got pushed is not bokuben, but 5 toubun.... also kind of funny kanojo okarashimasu is like forgotten despite started not that long time after 5 toubun, and has not bad sales either...
