Multimedia Project 'Hiragana Danshi' Gets Movie

It was announced that multimedia project Hiragana Danshi will get a movie adaptation. Titled Hiragana Danshi Movie: Jo, it will screen exclusively on Toho Cinemas Shinjuku on March 16.

Synopsis
Hiragana Danshi are in the mission to try to find their comrades in the world where Japanese languages have been disappeared.

Hiragana Danshi is one of the projects that started from a monthly variety show on Nihon TV titled "Ichara," which gets ideas for 2D characters from the audience. The project eventually received a smartphone game titled Itsura no Koe, which launched in October of last year, but was recently announced to end service in April of this year. A promotional poster for the movie was teased during the Animate Girls Festival last November.

During the screening, the hosts of the show, Bakarhythm (also scriptwriter), Yuusuke Koide (Base Ball Bear), and Nemu Yumemi (Dempagumi.inc), as well as Seiji Mizushima (Director), Yuki Kaji (A), and Shougo Yano (No), will appear on the stage for a talk show.

Key visual looks good. Not clear if they are using MMD parts for the movie. I prefer not.

Studio DIRECTIONS' are the guys who did that one awful CGI OP for Meikaku City Actors, so don't get your hopes up that the movie will be looking any better. Shame about Horgiuchi tho.

Eh I think the CGI looks weird. Not bad but just weird overall. Now as for the staff I don't think its that bad but I honestly believe that Seiji can pull it off. I hate Expelled from Paradise but he did a good job choreography wise in itself... even if I wasn't pleased by it overall.
