Light Novel 'Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e' Receives TV Anime

The official Twitter account of Kadokawa's MF Bunko J editorial department announced on Monday that Shougo Kinugasa and Shunsaku Tomose's Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e light novel will receive a TV anime adaptation. The series is scheduled to premiere in Summer 2017.

Synopsis
Koudo Ikusei Senior High School, a leading prestigious school with state-of-the-art facilities where nearly 100% of students go on to university or find employment. The students there have the freedom to wear any hairstyle and bring any personal effects they desire. Koudo Ikusei is a paradise-like school, but the truth is that only the most superior of students receive favorable treatment.

The protagonist Kiyotaka Ayanokouji is a student of D-class, which is where the school dumps its "inferior" students in order to ridicule them. For a certain reason, Kiyotaka was careless on his entrance examination and was put in D-class. After meeting Suzune Horikita and Kikyou Kushida, two other students in his class, Kiyotaka's situation begins to change. (Source: MU)

The romantic comedy novel has been publishing since May 2015, and currently, has five main compiled volumes in print. Kadokawa will publish the sixth volume on May 25. Three days before the first volume was shipped, a special 30-second promotional video was released. A manga adaptation by Yuyu Ichino has been serialized in Media Factory's Comic Alive magazine since January 2016. The manga has three compiled volumes in print, with the latest volume published on March 23.

The plot looks similar to Baka to test but it's nothing like it. So if you're gonna watch the anime expecting it to be a substitute for baka to test then prepared to be disappointed.

It felt more like Oregairu but a bit more tamed and complex.

This is the exact same plot as Baka to Test lmao but I'm not mad, I love BtT so why not

I really hope Natsuki Hanae will be the MC just as the little commercial they did

Nice to hear that this one got an adaptation. Whichever studio picks this up, I hope they do the character chemistry/banter justice.

Well I meant more so maybe comedy/romance-esque but I need to check on their track record then.

Just checked and they haven't done LNs from what I got but they did novels... but they're not technically the same tbh :/

I think either Feel or probably them. If not then I would assume otherwise.

I agree. It is tiring getting through Anime like this. Hopefully this one has a change to it.

Oh my god this is so good news!!! and i might say, there is something wrong with all of the character! even though up until the latest manga volume, the plot is still just about point deduction, and one after another characters were introduced with their own circumstances, and of course the problem will be rooted one after another. i'm so hyped about this anime!!! another waiting list on summer~
