'Ghost in the Shell' Franchise Receives New Anime Adaptation
Ghost in the Shell has previously inspired a number of anime adaptations, including two films in November 1995 and March 2004 by Mamoru Oshii, two TV anime seasons, a film in March 2011, as well as several OVAs. A four-part prequel movie Ghost in the Shell: Arise premiered between June 2013 and September 2014, and was later merged into a TV anime in Spring 2015.
A new film following the prequel premiered in June 2015. Dreamworks and Paramount Pictures produced a Hollywood live-action adaptation that premiered worldwide on March 30 and 31. The original cast members of the Ghost in the Shell anime film adaptation will reprise their roles in the Japanese dub version.

1. A trash tier reboot with forced diversity as a plot element which makes absolutely no sense for the over all story in general and deviates from the original creators idea.
2. Done with the intentions of Netflix pushing for $$$$, clearly going against the creator's wishes, simply because they need something else (looking at you GITS the movie that one was a big no no) obviously we need to stop this reboot-meta as they don't work. I've yet to see a decent one actually be good.

If it's as good or better than Stand Alone Complex then I shall welcome it with open arms ^_^

A New Anime Adaptation? To hell with that, just give use a 3rd season of Stand Alone Complex!
Now that sounds more sensible than constant remakes. Ghost in the Shell and GITSAC seasons 1 & 2 are already perfect (no idea about the live action thingy) so why go the reboot sequence at all.
The George Lucas Syndrome.

Eh what? Could you please tell me what a 3rd season of SAC would be if not a new anime adation?
A continuation of an existing adaption rather than a constant Spider-Man style reboot :)
Adation LOL.
Err ok. It's still a new adapation - of the manga - and could be advertised as that.
