These episodes will connect the previous Arise movies with the upcoming Ghost in the Shell movie scheduled to premiere this Summer. | Hmm, taking a look at the news again, I suppose it could be a TV series but I'm not sure on entirely new content. 4 OVAs = 230+ minutes of content which is less than an average 1 cour show. That means they could add in new content to fit for a 10, 12, or 13 episode TV series. Guess we'll find out soon in the future. There could also be a chance it may be an edit version similar to Psycho Pass. (edit) |

| So I haven't been a fan of Arise at all, but I do love GitS series. The trailer does at least look promising, in terms of keeping closer to the character design of the original Motoko. We will see how this goes. Maybe it will right all the wrong that they did with the Arise movies. Hopefully it's SAC4 in an alternate universe and not more of Arise movies extended. |
