Happy Elements Original Anime 'Idol Memories' To Broadcast on Fall 2016 [Update 7/8]

In an announcement that will be made via Nico Nico Live by smartphone game developer Happy Elements on July 8, it will be revealed that the anime Idol Memories is in production. The series will be an idol-themed original anime, which is set to broadcast on Tokyo MX in Fall 2016. The announcement will also reveal staff members, as well as studio.

Synopsis
In the near future where Idols are active in the space of virtual reality, two units from the Shiritsu Kanon Gakuen, which are currently ranking down, are aiming for the top of idol league! Who will be getting the honorable tiara?

My main issue is the format, Venus Project did a hybrid anime/live action format and it failed miserably. Also, I think HE is trying to get a Chinese audience seeing that both groups have an idol from China, it may get licensed there for streaming.

OT: I agree with you guys. I hope they give Enstars a decent budget, decent studio and decent staff. It deserves it.

Happy Elements using their massive profits from Ensemble Stars on other things T_T Well I'm not complaining, I'm glad they're experimenting with different things. The girls in this original anime look awesome, I'll check this out. Hope Ensemble Stars still gets good budget though, for both the game and the anime.

VR Idols now, well it's original and not a mobile game adaptation or an experiment like Venus Project, it should be good as long as the CG is alright if there is any and it's not a short.
