TV Anime 'Flip Flappers' Announced for Fall 2016

Animation production planning company Infinite and toy distributor Happinet have announced an original anime titled Flip Flappers at AnimeJapan 2016. An official website was opened last week and revealed the cast and staff. The series is scheduled to premiere for Fall 2016.

it reminds me of yozakura quartet, guess I'll have to check it out then

Oh boy, I wonder who thought those designs were a good idea. With that said though, after giving the PV a watch they do look a bit better in motion and are kind of charming in their own freakishly left-field way. Also, it seems like we can expect some nice animation with this too, not expecting much but it might be worth a shot and a new director is always good to see.

Honestly it just looks like a family friendly show hence the simplistic and non-threatening character designs. Of course only MAL could make the mistake that this would ever be targeted at their mostly teen demographic and "mature" viewers. Note the quotations.

He's done some key animation work for Space Dandy ep. 18 and The Wind Rises.
