'Pandora Hearts' Mangaka to Start New Series

The November issue of Gangan Joker, to be released on October 22, will announce that mangaka Jun Mochizuki will create a new series for the magazine. Titled Vanitas no Carte (Records of Vanitas), the series will contain themes of vampires and steampunk and will be set in 19th century Paris. The series will debut in Gangan Joker's January issue on December 22.

Mochizuki is known for Pandora Hearts, which was serialized in GFantasy between 2006 and 2015. The 24th and final volume of that series ranked 18th in Oricon's Manga Rankings on its first week, selling 45,608 copies. Yen Press licensed the manga in 2009, and it ranked in The New York Times best seller list for the first time in June 2012 in third place.

Never read Pandora Hearts but watched the anime. Seriously wish they either make a season 2 or a remake now that the manga ended.

But I might give this a read. Anything with steampunk is bound to be interesting.

Pandora Hearts is one of my favourite manga series and I absolutely adore the
aesthetically pleasing drawing style and the elaborate clothes the characters wear.

Missing pandora hearts, but this is still good. Hopefully a remake of the anime will happen sometime, and not one by Xebec...Xebec Zwei is okay, just not Xebec

Can't wait for this. Pandora Hearts is the best manga I've ever read. If this new series is only half as good, it will still be pretty cool.

YES YES YES! I've been waiting for more information on her new series for months.

I don't know if I like the vampire aspect, but I have faith in Mochizuki-sensei.
Also, it's going to be amazing to see an entire series with her godly art style. Pandora Hearts started off okay, but the art became so much better as the chapters went on. By the end, it was absolutely gorgeous. I am so excited (the steampunk will be so cool)!! This is going to be beautiful!

Bring on the plot twists, tragic characters, and incredible art
