Theatrical and broadcast rights, as well as home video release and video on demand, for the upcoming Shingeki no Kyojin live-action movies have been acquired by FUNimation. These licenses include distribution rights for North, Central, and South America.

The live-action movies will be split into two parts: Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) and Shingeki no Kyojin: End of the World (Attack on Titan: End of the World). The world premiere of the first movie will take place in Los Angeles on July 14, hosted by FUNimation. Shingeki no Kyojin will premiere in theatres across Japan on August 1, and Shingeki no Kyojin: End of the World on September 19.

Sekai no Owari's Anti-Hero and SOS will be the theme songs of the first and second movies, respectively. The 2007-formed band's name translates to "End of the World."

The Shingeki no Kyojin manga, written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama, received its first anime adaptation for Spring 2013. Shingeki no Kyojin has since received two live-action movies, a live-action TV drama, two OVAs and several spin-offs, as well as an upcoming TV anime sequel.

I'm laughing inside, but at the same time it looks kinda interesting. Not sure if I'm gonna watch it or not. Not really into live action stuff adapted from manga/anime =/

The problem with Japan's live actions is that their budgets are nowhere near as big as Hollywood's.

And that showed in that trailer. I was dying of laughter after seeing their titans. Holy shit, they looked pathetic.

Looks so cool, gotta check this!

So THAT Titan is in this movie after all? What kind of story do they have for two movies, anyway?

Jul 2, 2015 11:58 PM by Chaosmaster8753

It can't be any more worse than show right?

A kiss scene lol
I'm not sure where y'all are living but it's a adaptation. It's not the same. They will make the movie the way they think will attract people to watch, not only fans. Most movies from books and mangas are different.
I don't even have any hope to good live actions anymore, I just try enjoy it

What, they going to dub it? Lmao.

Yea won't count on it being entertaining, might see the beginning out of curiosity.

I don't find a problem with asians acting in an asian movie UNLESS it completely didn't fit, canon story described mikasa to be from the far east and her face features and race is obviously asian which made her a rare piece, now that most of u also know levi is the same and thats why they hold so much power, useless to add an asian eren and armin AND BASICALLY EVERYONE.

And this will forever be a product of Japan since the creator is japanese no need to push it and pay loads of money for a shitty movie, some acting was cheesy ( from the minute i saw ) and lord that kissing scene, hope it doesn't fail so bad and not ruin the name of the awesome manga.

While I agree that this looks pretty bad, what's the problem of everyone being asian for a movie produced in asia? That's like how every movie produced in an asian country is.

And how is that any different/any worse from all the american movies/european movies that feature a cast of only white men? With sometimes the addition of a black guy when you need to have someone dying in the first half, or an asian to fit the intellectual skinny guy (Caricaturing, but honestly the stereotypes work for a bunch of blockbusters/movies).
While I'm not saying them all being Asian is a bad thing (I honestly don't care and people tend to go full idiot discussing these things) I'm pretty sure in the anime the fact that Mikasa was Asian was like, super important because they are super rare and now here's a movie full of Asian people, pretty funny.

I'm have absolutely no issue with everyone being Asian. My issue is that they didn't bother at all to try and look like the characters when it was possible. They couldn't have put a wig on Armin? I mean it seems like it would be pretty simple to do.

eww. they are still gonna show this? waste of production money *sigh* they should just allocate it for season 2.
Wit Studio has nothing to do with this.

Well, the problem is the geographical location where snk is taking place. I would prefered a all white cast whit mikasa beeing the only japanese one (canon?) because its taking place somewhere in germany. For exemple, if hollywood decided to produce a movie that is taking place during the Zulu empire, i'm pretty sure that the majority of the cast would be black.

Exodus, The Last Airbender, etc. would beg to differ.
