TV Anime Series of 'Tales of Zestiria' Announced for 2016

It was announced at Tales of Festival 2015 that a TV anime series of Tales of Zestiria will air in 2016. Ufotable will animate the series, which is an adaptation of the PlayStation 3 role-playing game of the same name released in January 2015. An anime prequel titled Tales of Zestiria: Doushi no Yoake, also animated by ufotable, aired in December 2014.

Tales of Zestiria is the 15th entry and the 20th anniversary title in Bandai Namco Studios' Tales series. It follows Sorey, who is blessed with powers by a mystical spirit race known as the Seraphim who act as a stabilizing force in the land. He travels to free the land of Glenwood from the threat of the Hellion, creatures spawned by negative emotions.

The game is actually pretty good, it's synopsis has a very interesting concept. I love the tales game, and to see that the game will become an anime is beast as, Tales of Zestiria has a combination of humour, action, and adventure. Other successes from a game to an anime series include; Valkyria Chronicles, and Fate/ Series and Steins;Gate (if you count the visual novel being a game). By evidence of these other game series turned anime series, it's highly likely that this game will eventually become an anime and will also be favoured with positive criticism. I'm hoping it comes soon.

OMG, this news suprised the heck out of me.

Now it reminds me...gotta finish the game first and yeah looking forward for the adaptation.

The game is apparently pretty good, not that I'm gonna watch it anyway, but it may be fun for the people who love the franchise.

Cool. The anime of Tales games are actually fucking great. Symphonia was almost better than the game and Abyss was great too.

I always liked Tales series as anime. I have tried to play Xillia but didn't have the chance to complete it.
All of them were nice. Symphonia was great, Abyss was very good. I also liked Vesperia. I've just watched Zesteria not long enough to decide, could go either way but I like fantasy anyway. I still have Phantasia to watch. Looking forward for this as it's a Tales anime.

Oh my god seriously?! TT A TT I couldn't be happier with this news. I was feeling extremely empty after finishing the game, so just being able to see these characters again makes me the happiest person in the world. Also, ufotable animating the whole thing sdfj all of the yes. Thank you lord.
