Quite interesting indeed... Boku no Hero Academia charted the 1st week, then missed the Top 50 threshold for the next 2 weeks, then had some sort of sales boost back into the Top 50 list. Week 2 had a low threshold of 14,613, and week 3 had a threshold of 20,427.

Yeah it's a marketing ploy, but they are still limited editions. Terra Formars had one last week and now it's not on the chart while the regular edition is charting a lot higher. Eva is having a similar situation with a LE that's about sold out.

Limited; restricted in size, amount, or extent; few, small, or short. It is mainly used as an excuse to make people buy shit, but that doesn't change the meaning.

Boku no Hero Academia is doing very well sales wise for the first volume, I personally don't like it much so far (4 chapters), but I am still gonna stay to see how it develops.

Happy to see Baby Steps on the list, a bit disappointed it didn't get into the top 30 for the yearly sales. Daiya no Ace, Haikyuu, and Yowapeda were there.

Naruto's last volume getting closer to one million. I have a feeling Fairy Tail's sales are dropping even though there is an anime. However, Nanatsu no Taizai is still selling strong.
That Boku no Hero Academia thing got reprints, huh? It'll likely get some promotion soon now that it's drawn attention to it.

As I mentioned in its first week, it was sold out everywhere in 1 week. So it probably just got its second run.

Looking at all this data here, it is clear that the anime has provided a sustained boost to keep Terra Formars in the Top 10 Weekly Manga Series, ever since the anime began airing on Sep 27. Just looking at Vol.11 vs Vol.10, there is a slight boost in sales... but the best part is the sustained boost Terra Formars is experiencing due to the anime.

Lol @ NGE's manga selling so well. The amount of money that franchise has brought is insane.

I thought Kiseijuu has reprints but I have seen it in the rankings only once. Is the anime boost not sufficient to reach the threshold or am I missing something?

Rokka no Yuusha is "bunko" format. The cut-off last week for Bunko Top 50 list was 5,862: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1314423.

The 3,755 is actually rank 12 on the Book Literature Top 20 list from last week (cut-off for that list was 2,510), so it would have never ranked on that list (since it is bunko format). It's only chance to rank was the Top 50 Bunko list, as the Light Novel list had a threshold higher than the Bunko threshold.

It can get confusing trying to figure out what the actual thresholds are if you look at the MAL lists, and not how Oricon actually releases the data, which is a Top 50 Bunko list, Top 50 Books list, Top 20 Light Novel list (which could be bunko or book format), Top 20 Book Literature List, and Top 10 Light Novel Series.
