I was hoping Akatsuki no Yona would get the same boost like Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji.

Glad that DC is still powering through.

YowaPeda and KnB is still there <3

Didn't Sakamoto sold 500k+ during its first week for Vol 1 and 2 or am I wrong about that?

31. *2,822 *72,364 Tokyo Ghoul Vol.1 "Hibi"

Why would people drop it when it wasnt worse than the end of the Aizen Saga and the Nardo War Arc.

NNT vs TG will be an interesting battle.

Some people hated the ending of vol 14 and vol 1 of :re had mixed reaction. Still I'm glad Japanese fan didnt drop the series.

People thought the sales for Tokyo Ghoul:Re would drop, but it didn't.

So seeing Re sell really well in just three days is awesome. I hope it sells more because frankly I'm tired of seeing good manga sell less while shitty manga sell a lot.

And let's hope that season 2 of the anime gives the series another boost.

Well seeing the reviews on Amazon it doesn't seem as if people had mixed reactions. Though that may not be a good source.

Yeah I did mention some people had mixed reaction about the sequel's beginning but they definitely hated the ending of vol 14 after seeing the fans send so many death threats to the author lol.

They did?

Geez, couldnt the fanbase get any worse?

They are at the level of Nardo/Bleach fanbase, I remember a fan committed suicide when Itachi died, and the amount of death threats Kubo got after Byakuya "died".

Just be like Oda, and stick with your story without listening to the fans.

That's the last week it will though. If I'm not mistaken, this week (22-28) is the release of the volume 6 of the very popular Biblia koshodou. Kind of easy to guess who will be first next week (as long as you count media works bunko's titles in the list obviously)...

Better than most ecchi, harem and highschool romcom craps that sell over 15k. Honestly its a breath of fresh year to see novels like this do well.

Most, if not all of those death threats and insults came from western fanbase tho. When i saw these disgusting posts on twitter i felt so embarassed as a TG fan, sigh.Anyway, i'm glad that TG:re doesn't have a big drop and people in Japan seem to enjoy it even more ^^

*3. 301,170 *,310,533 Sakamoto desu ga? Vol.3
Somehow i can see Sakamoto getting anime really soon. Not sure why tho.

Hell Yes for Tokyo Ghoul:RE! I hope we see an adaptation of this eventually. Good to see Kindaichi SnJR selling as well. This needs a second season too!

Not really surprised to see SAO volumes up there. They're good enough to be selling progressively. (Bad pun but does justify the statement).

Attack on Titan selling like hot cake as usual. Kuroko no Basuke selling well too.

Is Hayate no Gotoku sale consider as good sale?

LOL! Ecchi manga To Love Ru is also selling well. Nice.

Rank 1 in the "books" category on Amazon, yes.

Odd that Amazon are counting it as a LN now when they weren't when I went through the week's releases on Monday evening.
Bestselling light novel volumes of the year/all time* (and more in the same club including weekly series ranks etc). <-- No longer being updated. Sorry.

Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji:
Volume 9: 169,702(17 days)
Volume 10: 106,378 (4 days) 166,877 (11 days) 197,506(18 days)
Volume 11: 140,241 (6 days) 191,282 (13 days) 219,999(20 days)

Boost: 22, 493.

It' not all that much of a boost considering how much the manga was selling before the anime started.

Akatsuki no Yona on the other hand:

Akatsuki no Yona:
Volume 14: 38,985 (3 days) 68,479 (10 days)
Volume 15: 40,411 (3 days) 70,067 (10 days)
Volume 16: 62,826 (3 days)

Boost: 22,415

And that's only in it's first week. It will most likely rank again next week so I'd say considering Yona wasn't even selling 40k compared to Ookami Shoujo which was selling 170k before the anime, it got more of a boost than Ookami Shoujo.

Boost: 22,415

There's still the second week to go. It'll most likely get another 30k or so, which is good news, not to mention it still has another full cour to go so it can attract more buyers.

Yay! AnY got a boost :D Hope it can be a huge success so they can make a S2.
Still hoping it can break the 100k mark >.<!! Totally deserves it. It's awesome that the scans have been coming out 2 chaps every 2 weeks ^^

Now for TG vs NnT that's one awesome rivalry :3

lol@ "real piece of literature" part...

Better than most ecchi, harem and highschool romcom craps that sell over 15k. Honestly its a breath of fresh year to see novels like this do well.

1) Calling something "crap" as your only appreciation of a title is merely a hint that you seriously lack the ability to properly evaluate books. A 6 years old kid could do better
2) what is good or bad is only dependent of your taste. Any adult has the decency to not call what he doesn't like "crap". If you're a kid this is excusable though.
3) Calling something "real piece of literature" means that you actually think that other books in that list are "non real piece of literature" (Or false, or whatever you want to call them around the same meaning) . Which is laughable.
4) There are very good titles with the "high school rom com" or the "ecchi harem" tag selling very well.
5) If you think that only the above tags sells well, you should look at the sales list more often, as that's seriously wrong.
6) You're sure that you want as your "champion" of what you call "real piece of literature" a... Novel adaptation of a manga, like those naruto or bleach novels adaptation? While those TG novels may be (perhaps?) surprisingly good, who knows, I won't judge it, I... sure would call that a risky choice, and not a really convincing one if you want to convince novels readers.

So yeah, lol@ the "real piece of literature" part.

That's the last week it will though. If I'm not mistaken, this week (22-28) is the release of the volume 6 of the very popular Biblia koshodou. Kind of easy to guess who will be first next week (as long as you count media works bunko's titles in the list obviously)...

Rank 1 in the "books" category on Amazon, yes.

Odd that Amazon are counting it as a LN now when they weren't when I went through the week's releases on Monday evening.

Sometimes Amazon's labelling is inaccurate, because Biblia did chart on the Top 100 Bunko for the 2014 Yearly list, but it wasn't in the Top 30 Light Novels. #1 Light Novel was Kagerou Days Vol.5... Who knows what Amazon's criteria is for a bunko or book release being labelled as a light novel. Probably by the cover artwork?

It's a real treat to see Ahiru no Sora on the list, hopefully it gets an anime adaption some time later, it's my favorite basketball manga at the moment.

I can't wait for UQ Holder anime adaption too, not sure if I should start reading or wait for the anime that might not even come.

I'd read the Manga, the current Arc that ended was great

I know it is. I was commenting on the inconsistancy though. Then again it isn't the first time it has been inconsistant. There are some series where some volumes are considered light novels by amazon and others aren't.
Bestselling light novel volumes of the year/all time* (and more in the same club including weekly series ranks etc). <-- No longer being updated. Sorry.

I's obvious, It will sell around 500-600k eventually once again.

Still I'm glad SAO doing well, SAO last volume Vol.15 stayed on top 30 for 9 weeks if I'm not mistaken...

I'm happy to see those Akatsuki no Yona sales. Does anyone have sales data from before it got the anime? I want to see if it has improved at all.

Akatsuki no Yona:
Volume 14: 38,985 (3 days) 68,479 (10 days)
Volume 15: 40,411 (3 days) 70,067 (10 days)
Volume 16: 62,826 (3 days)

Boost: 22,415

There's still the second week to go. It'll most likely get another 30k or so, which is good news, not to mention it still has another full cour to go so it can attract more buyers.

Glad to hear it. I hope it can attract more buyers. Not the best shoujo I've watched, but it's been enjoyable. Hoping the anime sells decently as well.
