'Shounen Hollywood: Holly Stage for 49' to Get Second Season

It was announced at the end of final episode of the anime that Shounen Hollywood: Holly Stage for 49 will get a second season, titled Shounen Hollywood: Holly Stage for 50, to air Winter 2015.

I do 2x at most for bad ecchi harems but 1.5 at most for anything else.

...It's not like UtaPri, I shall warn you. The art is like Death Note so idk why a lot of people have trouble with it.

You have got to be kidding. Is the anime actually that good. I stopped on episode 2 because I couldn't stand the art. Was so excited at first because of the "Idol" genre (cue UtPri music here) but it was such a letdown. Maybe I should bear through the first season to brace myself for the second haha.

instead of complaining about anime people should have drop it :D

I am actually glad to hear that it gets second season. I am enjoyed watching it and really like songs. I was feeling bad about anime didn't get much popularity but after hearing second season it all gone :D

To be fair, if you're a hardcore shipper, I'm sure you can find some gay moments between the idols. I'm not much of a BL shipper, but even I saw a few.

This series has literally nothing of 'bl fanservice' so i highly doubt it will be different in the second season.

Yeah, I've heard a few who compared WUG to SH. Awkward characters and lower budget sounds exactly like SH too xD

The more I look at it, the more I'm starting to get Wake Up Girls vibes. WUG had awkward characters and a lower budget experience but I still couldn't stop myself from enjoying it. The character designs really caught my attention too, guess I might start this up soon after all.

I don't think slow paced/boring will be a problem for me, I mean I sat through Glasslip without losing interest that's going to be hard to beat.

^ Not similar to Uta Pri at all. It's not that documentary-like compared to something like Idolm@aster. It's kind of dull at times, and slow-paced but realistic and heartwarming (sometimes). It jumps around from one character to another, so there's a lack of main character focus in this series which is why I wouldn't consider it a great show.

I was going to pass up on this show initially, but a second season announcement (and the rage that it brought forth) has intrigued me. Is this anything like Uta Pri? The only thing that puts me off is people describing it as a documentary.

Exactly my thoughts when I first saw the announcement.

But i think for this show a new season was already planned most likely prior to this show's airing so whether a new season is going to happen also depends on the studio itself, not just fan support(i.e. dvd sales and merchandise).
