Hoping OVA will include Kurumi Festival and the rest of Encore.

I found date a live pretty mediocre
Mediocre is putting it very nicely.
But, if you dropped it like me in the first 10 minutes of the first episode, just download episode 8-10, skim the date stuff and watch Tokisaki Kurumi take over your mind.
She's so... terrifyingly awesome.

So? How's that related to the announcement?

Nobody cares about this cliche-ass show.
The pre-order estimates seem to not agree with you.
Preorder estimates for Date A Live aren't spectacular or anything, it's very standard in terms of sales, however merchandise sales could give it a second season and my does this anime have some nice merchandise (some I already preordered).
~5k BD+DVD (provided the DVD isn't overestimated too much) usually gives enough probability for a sequel without considering other miscellaneous sales (such as the LN, manga, mechandise, etc). Of course, good miscellaneous sales does provide a much better chance for a sequel.
Back on the actual quote, I think that comment was in arguement to no one caring about this anime... but the preorder numbers do state differently.
On topic, it's not really surprising to have an OVA announced. I guess i'll watch it anyway, since Date A Live isn't that bad.

OVA so quickly ....TV series isnt over yet....
I don't think it's rare.
There's even a series that they announced a 2nd season already yet the 1st season is still currently airing.

You cared enough to post this cliche-ass comment.
Kotori-centric episode, right? Let's hope.
I think it is since the summary is about a 13th episode not aired, and we'll be in the Kotori's arc soon.
