I came here to post exactly the same thing.
From the start I imagined that this would be the type of show to fly underneath everybody's radar. Still, my expectations are there and they're positive since I enjoy this kind of show.

Hard to believe that this isn't a short, i'm glad though because i'm trying my best to avoid short series from now on.
Might give this a go if anyone subs it.

Anyone have any ideas yet t if this is a 3 minute series or not?
NHK listed the airing time is 9:30 a.m - 9:55 a.m every Saturday and a repeat airing at 5:00 p.m - 5:25 p.m on same day in their site.

Since this is NHK show and the original source (there are 21 volumes of the manga atm), I guess there is a high chance of this series airing more than 1 cour.

This has 3 minute anime written all over it.
Pretty much, it seems all 4koma adaptations are becoming like this.
The manga isn't a 4koma. I only hope they doesn't make it into a 3 minute series.

I do hope for 21-23 minute episodes though, but I doubt it now that there are so many short episode anmes :/

I've read the manga. For those who haven't read it, it is a lighthearted but thoughtful take on kids growing up (and their neighbourhood).
If you have watched Hey Arnold, I think it's pretty similar. So this is kinda like Hey Arnold+Japanese Cultures.
