Movie For Macross Frontier Announced [Update]

During the broadcast of the 25th and final episode of Macross Frontier, it was announced that the series would be released in movie form. The movie will be following the same plot revolving around a fighter pilot named Alto Saotome and two singers named Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee as humanity battles an alien threat.

No word on whether the movie will feature new animation or recycle from the series. A release date is also still unknown at this point.

Update
According to Macross Ace magazine vol.002, the movie will be premiered on November 21st. The title is "Gekijouban Macross Frontier Itsuwari no Utahime".

Hmm, the movie hasn't aired yet but the insert song album is already out... Weird o_O

edit: oh, it's the insert for the background music in the movie trailer :p

Macross F recap.... NO WAY!

A good anime like this should have more! not another version of something I've watched...

But if Sheryl is there, who cares... cuz I probably gonna enjoy the singing more than the plot

final boss boobs always looks well animated.. also proper ending for the movie

Alto's a prick who can't even make a proper decision and the ending was a real disappointment.

Hope the movie can make up for it.

Based on what you said he is going to kiss both???? As well as marry them??? You know I foresaw this cause the way the personality was at the end even though they said they will compete. All Alto has to do is tell them both I LOVE YOU. I think they will understand maybe....more Ranka than Sheryl.
