Second Season of Chihayafuru Due in January 2013

According to the cover note of the 18th volume, the second season of Chihayafuru was announced to be aired from January 2013. Mainichi reported that the second season will be half a year long.

I hope this series is 25 episodes because there is enough material available to do it but after that, the 2nd season finishes you would need at least 2 to 3 years to have a proper 3rd season with 20+ episodes, less years for a shorter season, so that could work too.

I'm just hoping the anime doesn't divert away from the manga because there are no English translations or summaries for chapters between50 to 83, only RAWs. RAWs are good to a certain point but sometimes you can never really make out what's really happening.

I feel you, shipping Chihaya/Taichi feels like fighting a losing battle from the start.
But it won't dim the enjoyment for me ^^.

Im ready to raise up the frustration bar to the max, once again, due to Chihaya an her damn obsession with that bastard of Arata and her cold attitude toward Taichi.

Thats said, fuck you Arata, damn you Chihaya, you are damn blind.

I love the series however.

Well, I couldn't agree more. This series fully deserved a continuation because of it's high quality. Also, the ending of the 1st season will not remain open anymore :D
