wtf all this talk about a 2nd season. it ended well at ep 17.. waht more do you want? fucking retards i swear lol.

Um... the fact that Michi Random is the 4th novel? And it goes on for 6 more novels after that? So the story isn't really done?

People who don't know anything about the original material, I swear... LOL

Yeah, i'm baffled at the ignorance on MAL or the lack of doing any research (which is easy by using Google I guess) before posting statements like that, lol.

Probably because he only see Kokoro Connect as a series about the love triangle between the 3 main.

Yes, the novels are very good.

They always have to skip a lot when adapting novels, mostly for time purposes so I always recommend starting with the first novel if you can afford to. I haven't actually seen the last two episodes yet so I can't tell you if it is exactly the same as the Michi Random novel! I am waiting for my BD to arrive...

Well, that's good to know, I'll just start with first novel. Thanks alot!

Well that's actually quite shocking, i didn't know about that. However the whole thing is a real shame, the chances for second seasons with that incident and the low sales are probably really low. No choice than sticking with the Light Novels.
Do you guys recommend reading them? And did the Anime follow the story of the Light novels closely so that I can start with the 5th Volume or did they change so much that it would be better to read the whole thing from the beginning?

Thanks for all the information by the way ^^

They had to change the OP because of the mess as the original artists didn't want to be involved anymore which delayed the releases each by a month or so. In fact the new OP changes the mood of the shows, it is really odd to watch them on BD after having watched them on the TV broadcasts as the new music is completely different.

The manga that just came out end of March was supposed to be out end of January but was delayed as well. I'm just glad they came out at all, along with the novel Asu Random part 2. It would have been a real shame if they hadn't finished it.

I won't really be really happy until I have the second Michi Random BD (7th in the series, the last one) in my hands in a couple of weeks! A second season would be great but I wasn't 100% sure they would even finish the first season the way things were going...

It would be a shame if there's no second season, but at least i know now that the story continues with the Light Novels. I've heard that there was some controversy with the last four episodes being released on blueray and so on. But whatever, it was a great Anime and even if it doesn't look too well for a second season I'll just stick with the Light Novels.

Thanks for the information by the way!

Michi Random is based upon the fourth light novel for Kokoro Connect. There are FIVE more light novels already written and a SIXTH planned (better be a sixth, it is the second half of the ninth one, Random Tomorrows) plus a volume or two of side stories for a total of TEN main and one or two side volumes. There is so much more to animate! The ways things have gone for this show I doubt we will get more but don't say there is no more to be done. There is way more to be done!

You won't know how it really ends even after Sunday night unless you read the light novels... not even halfway through!

I just finished Kokoro Connect and I found it highly entertaining, and thanks to hpulley we know that there is plenty of material left from the light novel to be animated. But why do you think that there won't be a second season? Did it not sell too well in Japan?

Sales of discs are about 2000/volume which isn't great but with novel and manga sales you never know. It had controversy too however so it is hard to say.

Asu Random and two manga volumes came out at the end of March. Novel sold OK, manga didn't rank IIRC.

i think heart seed/balloon wine lied when he say'd that hes reason of doing this kind of things is to entertain himself, i think hes kind noticed that all of them have problems & that they hide their head under the sand & they hide them from each other & they decided to make them deal with their problems, & make them take their head out from under the sand, it was cruel way to help them but i think that was their intent, considering how it ended, it made me think that way

Overall, KC is a great anime; however, although I loved the end pairing, I can't help but feel the ending was lacking in some way. I wanted Taichi to be much firmer in his resolve in choosing between lori and Inaba. I got the impression Inaba was chosen because she showed her feelings (which is not a bad thing) and Taichi decided to settle for that.

I liked how things balanced out for Yui and Aoki, even though Aoiki's character was low-key, he was the most optimistic one of the five and more true to his feelings.

I sincerely hope there is a 2nd season; many unanswered questions, as far as I'm concerned, like... who and what is Heartseed?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I just completed this series, and I thought the ending was great, except there was some minor loopholes on some of the character's past that was not really explained thoroughly. What I mentioned was minor gaps, not needed another season, and I don't think it needs another season, since everyone was happy at the end, and there should not be much material to make a season 2, which brings up more problems for the 5 of the SCS members.(Unless the characters were being changed, or the point of view changes)

Some series, like OreImo, has some sort of "specials", that has 4 episodes. These specials are either fan-service, or another ending, or something else(in this case, more explanation? idk) And also, Kokoro Connnect has 13 episodes, so 13 + 4 = 17, so I don't think it's a weird number for anime, although 17 is kinda weird. But taking note of it has 13 episodes instead of 12 and doing the maths makes it more common. Please correct me if these 4 episodes are not specials, and are sequel episodes leading from episode 13.

That's all for me to say, and I'm happy I found this thread. Not that I'm not looking forward to more episodes of KC, but just that I think that season 2 is NOT NEEDED, since the series ended on a good note and ended really well. I'm not a hater, on the contrary, a fan of this series.

KC rocks!! Looking forward to these 4 episodes!!

(PM about any mistakes on this comment or news about this series, I would love to read them and discuss it with you ^,^ )
