YAY SWORD ART ONLINE!!!

Probably got missed because everyone (myself included) thought the site was dead, and they didn't bother to announce it, but Anime on Demand has the second season of Rinne no Lagrange for the UK and Ireland. Or the first 2 episodes of it anyway, with more of the series to be added later.

What would happen if (as happened for a few series this season) there were series announced with no dates given? Would it just be put separately at the bottom?

That's not a major issue, though. Other than that it wouldn't really affect me. I don't pay much attention to the first post anyway as I check things when they are posted. In fact the first post is probably more important for those people who don't follow the thread and just check it when they see it than for those of us who keep it on our watching lists and check it every time a new post is made.

Jul 19, 2012 10:25 PM by kuuderes_shadow

It wouldn't hurt, but like Jmal said I just keep track of the times through Crunchys website. Some people might prefer to keep up with it here though.

Jul 19, 2012 7:19 PM by RyanSaotome

I think either one works. The main reason I follow CR threads here or elsewhere is just to be made aware of what gets picked up. Once they've licensed it, I just tend to follow CR's own simulcasts page and watch from there (i don't use any of the other services).

Jul 19, 2012 4:48 PM by jmal

I've got an idea for the future of these simulcast lineup posts and I figured I should ask the people who actually follow and care about them (all two of you).

I want to do something like this, so instead of listing them in the order they were announced, they'd be listed by the date and time they air each week. I'll do it for every company's new simulcasts, though obviously CR is the only one it would really matter for.

Anyone think this would be preferable?

Is it just me, or did CR really go all-out this season?

They've only had real competition in terms of pure numbers maybe once before. I think one season Funi had like... a little more than half as many as CR, which is as close as it's ever gotten. This time CR has nearly swept the season, not just in terms of what got simulcast but also in terms of what's getting aired at all... in terms of shows I'd classify as typical late night anime, aka the stuff people are most likely to fansub or blog about all they didn't get is:
- LagRin 2
- KoiChoco
- Hagure Yuusha
- Binbougami
- Joshiraku
- Ebiten

That's it, out of a whole season. Impressive. I don't think I've ever had such a high percentage of my viewing come from simulcasts before, even when you consider I'm not using CR for Horizon (tl reasons) or Dakara Boku wa H (censorship reasons).

Right here.

Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru too: http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2012/07/18/crunchyroll-to-stream-nakaimo-my-little-sister-is-among-them

Complete dominance of the simulcast industry, and thank goodness, the alternatives suck. Now if they just get current on both of these, I'll have two more to add to the already massive lists of shows I'm watching at CR. It'll be as many as 17 shows at once... would be a more but I'm watching a few via fansubs instead for various reasons.

Nobody has announced a simulcast of Moyashimon Returns yet. Funimation could announce that they are gonna stream it at SDCC or at Otakon which is a few weeks from now.

I'd say just be patient.

They even got Dog Days, inb4 the licensing for home video.

I gotta say, Crunchy did a good job this season. They got nearly everything of value, sans a few anime like the TBS Thursday block which generally doesn't simulcast.. probably the best they've done yet.

Got Dog Days as well. Are they done yet? Every time I think they're done they add more and it makes updating the OP longer every time...
