Sadly one of the greatest series ever - One Piece - got stained heavily in America because of its 4kids dub and thus tainted many who gave the series a chance. It's since been redubbed by funimation but the 4 kids really killed it. Animes a lot more accessible than manga over here so kinda watch anime to get into manga first =P.

Basically a manga about Vampires

Wish there was more info about Soulless.

Alexia Tarabotti is laboring under a great many social tribulations. First, she has no soul. Second, she's a spinster whose father is both Italian and dead. Third, she was rudely attacked by a vampire, breaking all standards of social etiquette.
Where to go from there? From bad to worse apparently, for Alexia accidentally kills the vampire -- and then the appalling Lord Maccon (loud, messy, gorgeous, and werewolf) is sent by Queen Victoria to investigate. With unexpected vampires appearing and expected vampires disappearing, everyone seems to believe Alexia responsible. Can she figure out what is actually happening to London's high society? Or will her soulless ability to negate supernatural powers prove useful or just plain embarrassing? Finally, who is the real enemy, and do they have treacle tart?

Basically a manga about Vampires and Werewolves and the Undead..

I just can't believe Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's is a best seller. :/

how many times do i have to mention on each time a thread like this is made that most people buy yugioh manga for the card that is in there

not to mention that yugioh has the guinnes world record for the most cards sold, making it the most popular card game. which the general public doesnt realize how popular the game actually is.

This list is different than the usual ones. Nice to see SZS, GTO and Mardock Scramble on there. I'm also happy that Sailor Moon is still in the top 10, and Naruto will most likely always be on these lists due to it's huge fanbase.

I just can't believe Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's is a best seller. :/

And every time a new One Piece volume outsells everything else by millions I will lose repect for Japan's taste.

This has got to be the most ignorant statement on Japanese manga taste I have ever heard. Do you not realize that manga originated in Japan, and that the Japanese have had just as long to be critical of their own manga? One Piece is the best selling manga series constantly, month by month, year by year for a VERY GOOD REASON. It is no fluke, believe me. The Japanese knows what makes an amazing series. I will always trust the taste of the Japanese when it comes to manga. They know what's up.

I didn't say that!! Wtf?!

I watched Sailor Moon way back in the 90s (in Europe) and I'm now wondering why the manga seems to be so popular that it is in the charts, I mean it's quite old (as a franchise), can someone explain me the popularity in the US?

I don't really know. I also watched Sailor Moon in the 90's. I was still a kid. So, I don't really know y its up there.

More like "hey let's change this person's quote to paraphrase and emphasize what he/she didn't do right cuz it's so cool of me."

Also, read between the lines. "Out of print" should give you a hint.

What the others above me said. It's being reprinted for the first time in years, in the original right to left format and with the characters' original names and proper translations and so on. It's basically bringing back an old out of print classic and treating it better this time.

I now have an urge to read that Soulless manga. Wonder why. >.>

Hahhahahahahahah!!! Oh wow. I mean I like One Piece too, I think it's a good series, but you really think it deserves having so much greater success by far than every other series? And I guess that despite One Piece being in your favorites of anime and manga you're not biased at all right? But from what you've written it seems you'd be incapable of forming your own opinion on a series anyways and would just listen to what Japan thinks with a, "they can never be wrong" type of attitude. From what else you've said I guess you believe in quality by popular vote then too.

Like I said I think One Piece is good but still not deserving of such high sales numbers, especially with the latest volumes.
