Sunrise's Original Anime Natsuiro Kiseki Announced [Update Nov 18]

According to the official twitter of Tower Records, Sunrise's original TV anime titled "Natsuiro Kiseki" was announced to be aired in 2012. Seiyu group sphere will play the main roles.

sphere will sing the OP theme song of Shinryaku!? Ika Musume titled "High Powered".

I don't know why, but these girls look very similar to characters from YuruYuri, I think. Ofc I mean appearance.

It does have a moeblob feel to it.

It also doesn't help that it caters to a single Idol musical/seiyuu group. As in you get the feeling it might be a halfassed story to show off the group's music rather than a story that is wonderful, heartwarming and thought-provoking.

I get the sneaky suspicion that "miracle" will involve music in some way.

I actually thought the characters had more of a Hanasaku Iroha feel to them. YuruYuri didn't even cross my mind other than Aki Toyasaki's characters both having pink hair.

In that case it will be like K-ON! - I guess, that it was intended to be a purely musical anime (that's what the description says), but it ended up to drinking tea and eating cakes for almost all twenty-four minutes per episode.

I don't think that it will be good series.

Certainly it would be more interesting, supposing that it will be mecha...

I'll at least give it one episode, because I really liked the song High Powered. Although that'll undoubtedly mean nothing.

Why does it seem like everyone expects this to turn into mecha? Just because its Sunrise?

Given its timeslot (its airing in the highly rated otakublock on Thursday nights on TBS), I'd be surprised if its mecha. The shows that air in that block are typically moe blob and ecchi stuff.

From the PV maybe this is a slice of life anime (kinda same as tamayura but with a summer setting)
