Crossover Anime of Sket Dance and Gintama Announced

According to MyCom Journal, two cross over anime episodes of SKET Dance and Gintama' were announced to be aired in September. They are based on a special collaboration manga of the two published in Weekly Shonen Jump on April 11th. The characters of Sket Dance will appear in the Gintama anime on September 26th and Gintama characters will appear in the Sket Dance anime on September 29th.

Hmm!You are the type who blabers about everything you don't like.
I agree with you in the point that there are few annoying episodes in sket dance but there are quite a few masterpiece episode in as well so watch all before whining!

How similar is this series to Gintama? Not much of a Ginatama fan myself. Is the comedy style similar?

Only Episode of Sket dance that was EVER funny, I'm sticking with gintama their comedy is off the charts

Nice PV. can't wait for the crossover episode. They are both great anime, especially the latest 25 episode of Sket Dance, with Switch and his past.

Both anime series just used the respective designs of the mangakas in the crossover chapters. If they had used anime designs, the Gintama version of Sket Dan and Sket Dance's version of Yorozuya would have the correct colors.

Personally, I think Gintama did a better job adopting the Sket characters (Bossun looked really good in the Gintama preview haha). The different color choices are more noticeable in Sket Dance, such as Shinpachi's super blue outfit. :D. Gin-san looks funky in the pv actually, but he looked fine in the episode preview that aired today though, so I am perfectly happy with it.

I'll be watching Gintama only because i'm a huge fan of Sket Dance~ I don't plan to watch the Gintama series anytime soon (tho, i will watch it eventually) but i will be watching the crossover episode. Sket Dance FTW!

Also, judging by the crossover commercial, Gintama can't draw Sket Dance characters for shit D= WTF did they do to Bossun, Himeko, and Switch. Sad since Sket Dance draws the Gintama characters perfectly >_>

Hm. I'm a big fan of SKET Dance (manga), but I have yet to check out Gintama. Maybe I should do that sometime soon. :O

This is gonna be so hilarious for sure. XD The manga chapters made me laugh so hard, I'm sure animated will make me fall off my chair. Gintoki and Switch, freaking win. Can't wait for this. :D

Yeah, they should air Sket Dance first since Gintama's is more ... KINTAMA lol. Ah well not a big deal.

They are going to air as separate episodes with apparently more material than what was in the manga crossovers (I hope they reference Sa-chan and Daisy having the same seiyuu yet one is a total M and the other a S. Hilarious.)

It'd be better if Sket Dance one was aired first, yes, (since it'd tie in more cleanly to each other in an 'alternate version' kind of way) but that's their time slots I think, and that's that.

PART 2: Gintama x Sket Dance x One Piece!? LOL

Although it might be better if Sket Dance aired the crossover first
