Good news. Kintama arc in the preview for next week, this anime will very likely see an extension!
nope next week is the end of gintama anime... however it is also the start of the kintama anime ;)
I'm willing to bet that the preview is a troll.
That could be true. And its end was official. Idk, probably wishful thinking on my part, but at the same time I've never seen Gintama do something like this either. At this point I'm not sure what to believe...
But when you think about it in the manga the also pulled this whole gintama ending. Maybe they're trying it again D: Wishful thinking on my part

Three series of Jump are ending? You are not joking.
Dang. I am pretty sure there is still an interesting arc left in Gintama (I want to see Sakata "Kintoki" animated)
I am okay with Bleach ending, since it caught up to the manga.
But Beelzebub, no since it wasn't done properly and got an anime original ending.
And now, Gintama? NO! I love this show... but I am powerless to do anything about it.
Well, we will have another three new JUMP anime though.
-Kuroko No Basuke
-Medaka Box
and the spin-off for Rock-Lee!
(I love Naruto, but this anime will sure piss off a lot of people, mostly the haters. It got the timeslot of Bleach.)
Agreed !
and I am rather dissapointed with the sudden end of Gintama.
There was no real reason, as far as I can think of.
also the manga has entered a very epic arc atm, I was looking forward to see that action arc too :(

I haven't watched it yet.I think it is a good time to start XD
There's never a bad time to start Gintama. I was skeptical at first because it seemed like a Japanese version of Family Guy (which I loathe), but I gave it a chance. About 3 episodes in I was hooked, I love the characters. The comedy can be very corny and immature (lots of toilet humor) but its so well written and the characters are so funny that it makes even the lamest joke hilarious. Gintama also has some amazing "serious" arcs, honestly there is a little of everything in it.
In my opinion Gintama is the most entertaining Shonen out there right now, and this is coming from a huge One Piece fan.

The last episode pretty much said the series will eventually be back, probably when they get new material/get further in the Manga.
Yeah I'm with you on that, I refuse to believe its over ^_^.

I may be wrong here but I read a rummor somewhere that the show wasn't so much cancelled as it is moving to a new studio (Osaka T.V. I believe). I mean honestly how can this amazing show which has kept me laughing/crying non stop for 251 episodes be cancelled, from what I've read its fairly popular in Japan and has great DVD sales. So yeah, I don't think this is going to be the end of Gintama' not even close, its bound to comeback.

LOL I JUST REALIZED Gintama was being aired during a "kids TV time" haha
That's normal though. Most long Shounen Jump anime adaptations aren't late night (after midnight) like the majority of anime are. Some air in the morning (Toriko at 9a, One Piece at 930a, HxH at 11a) or early evening (Naruto at 730p, Gintama at 6p, Bleach at 6p).
I think at some point they aired at late night though, according to what they were saying during the parts where they break the 4th wall. I remember Gintoki complaining once that they weren't going to be able to get away with as much crude stuff since they now air in a family friendly time slot.
