If it's cheap and they don't dub it, it's probably no real loss.

Problem is, they ARE dubbing it.

Good God NO! I always question my sanity, but there are time I question others and this is one of them. Why bother dubbing something that could be a miss?

you have got to be kidding me -__-'

ICE is basically one of those old ovas from the 80s and 90s that flopped in japan and were picked up here by central park media and manga entertainment (MD geist and garzey's wing for example).

except this came out in 2007.

the plot is confusing as hell and has more holes in it than a single block of swiss cheese.

fantastic sentai, fan-fucking-tastic.

I think its cool that a company is now getting OVAs, but I have never heard of this one.

If they must get an OVA, how about the HxH OVAs? I would buy those.

Anything but crap like this would be nice. License Baby Princess or something.

All men died off in the synopsis, may I say that this could be the holy grail of shit.

Sentai seems to be taking quite a few risks this time around. I do admire them for this.

I can't help but wonder why they haven't tried dubbing either of those as well...

Sentai sure seems to have been busy lately.

Another OVA again...? Why...

Instead of risking losing money by dubbing this and the other two OVAs why don't they just go back and dub another series that sold well for them?

While I am happy they are dubbing more series it would seem better in the long run just have released them subtitled cause I don't see these titles doing well for them unless these licenses were cheap and they can afford to do this kind of thing, but I would still would like to see Special A or Shigofumi finally dubbed instead. >_>

It's funny....when things get popular or sell well they always go "WHY THE FUCK CAN'T MORE OBSCURE THINGS GET BROUGHT OVER!?"

And then when obscure things are brought over...." THEY ARE CLEARLY DERP A DUR DUMB."

LOL I know right? But to be honest, I don't know if I'll like Ice. I'll still give it a watch to prove myself wrong.

Licensing obscure OVAs for release in the US worked out real well, in the past... ignoring the fact that the distributors that did so all died.

Either license anime that's popular or actually good. Going in-between because the licenses don't cost much is just asking for laughably low sales.

Like ADV, Sentai pick-up some good titles and a whole lot of junk. Not sure why they didn't allow themselves to die as ADV if they're still planning to make the same mistakes anew...

Never heard of it. Then again, it doesn't look remotely interesting, so I guess I won't watch it.

That is 3 obscure OVAs, what are they going for?

Not necessarily a bad thing, just weird.
