Utapri is so amazingly good in the sense where it's really just goony but I love it anyways. So silly. So good.

Also hell yes Tiger & Bunny doing good. Haters to the left.

spring list is sickening. nichijou not even in the top 5, and hanasaku IS in the top 5. not to mention tiger & bunny @ no.1. and ao no exorcist, jesus

But AnoHana is number one, not T&B.

And it's a bit silly to get worked up over anime you don't like selling well. So what? You'll live.

T&B is no.1 in blu-ray is what I was referring to.

And you're right, though it makes me annoyed when shows I think are average/suck are selling well compared with shows I think are good/deserve more attention aren't.

Surprised to see, Yuruyuri ending got higher sales than opening.

Out of the rankings (too small sales)
Deadman Wonderland

I'm glad to see that. worst action/gore anime I've ever watched.

At least Spring looks better than Summer list will be, which is looking to be even more full of fujoshi bait

Full? There's only two, really. And I mean, UtaPri isn't bad, and Natsume Yuujin-chou is a spectacular franchise that by all rights should appeal to guys just as well, but too many don't even bother to try it. I very strongly prefer female-only anime casts (and yes I'm a guy), but a good show is a good show and Natsume is great.

Other major sellers will include Penguindrum (pretty gender-neutral and anime-original) and Idolmaster (obviously for guys). Too early to call anything else.

I was considering Penguindrum too, since thats obviously fujoshi bait. Two attractive looking brothers that are being shipped more by female fans than even Ao No Exorcist has been so far.

Deadman Wonderland flopping never ceases to amuse me though, after people in the West act like its one of the best anime of the year and expect it'll get a 2nd season without question, so I like seeing it listed

I know that feel, lol. I laughed at everyone in the last thread saying "I can't wait for the second season!"

Anyway, I'm glad for Hanasaku's great numbers! 8,5 BD copies is really nice, but it's too bad that the DVDs didn't rank... I guess only the heavy otaku bought it, like with S;G.

And lol, Higurashi Kira sold terribly bad... Funny how DEEN decided to milk the cow but they failed. If they decide to adapt Beyond Midnight Arc or Demon Exposing Arc, it might've generated some sales but DEEN went for the fanservice.
Not that I mind that much though, I thought the episode was very entertaining.

So? Iroha has ~9K for now. Hoped for better sales. But still not bad for slice-of-life anime

Kamisama to Issho is a great theme, love Nekogami, the characters are actually pretty good especially for an anime I didn't have much expectations for.

I don't care for Ikoku Meiro's OP not my taste but deserves the ranking for historic accuracy, but the ED is excellent.

Dog Days is next, lets see if those sales can give it the S2 it deserves. Good thing I got the BD.

Sales Rankings of the Spring Anime 2011 (the first volumes of Blu-ray + DVD)

Are only the shows with over 1000 sales shown here?
How did the other shows, such as Deadman Wonderland(I think they started selling already) pass?
